Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport

Turned up 2 mins late for check in coming from Crows Nest 90-100 kms away, due to getting lost trying to find the way. Was told to buy New ticket. Couldn't purchase from airport so spent 3 hrs booking a flight for the next day in Toowoomba. Turned up for flight at 9.30 next day, only to be told flight was delayed for 2 hrs. Going to Brissy from now on. Pricks

Wrongly branded. Wellcamp is not a suburb of Brisbane nor is it part of "Brisbane West". Toowoomba is 2 hours from Brisbane on a bus. Wellcamp is an additional 35 mins west AGAIN from Toowoomba. Its not even in the Brisbane metro area or Brisbane City Council statistical area. Brisbane west is Kenmore, etc not Wellcamp airport. This area is under a different city ordinance, that is in Toowoomba City and should be described as such. Not even Ipswich, located much closer to Brisbane would mix the names. Come on Tooowoomba drop the Brisbane West reference and be proud and loud and call it for what it is. Toowoomba airport.

This airport is so so so nice. Waiting area is better than qantas club. Everything is still very new. Not like country Australia at all. If only city airports are as good.

great to have a domestic Airport just outta Toowoomba..but must say there was one woman was such a smart /.:./!! to my 81 year old father i was gob smacked !!! will be contacting head office Pat from sons and Daughters !!! You wrecked my day !! she just stood around like a stail bucket of fish ! then got behind cafe just to be smart !! not happy !

Why is it called Brisbane West Wellcamp? It's stupid. No one knows Wellcamp and Brisbane West? Is that a marketing ploy to try and lure people to think it's in the western suburbs of Brisbane? It's a nice airport with a dumb name. Try Toowoomba International or name it after someone deserving like Toowoomba Walton Airport after Nancy Bird Walton a famous Australian aviator. Something's got to be better than Brisbane West Wellcamp. It's infuriatingly dumb!
