Story

BREW is Rotorua's new Craft Beer Pub. It is owned by Croucher Brewing, Rotorua's award-winning brewery. BREW is a place for locals and visitors to Rotorua to enjoy Croucher ales, along with a good selection of other fantastic NZ craft beers, NZ wines and delicious gastro-pub style food.

BREW is all about being able to enjoy the company of friends and family, where conversation is more important than being drowned out by a DJ or the distraction of tiddlywinks playing on a giant TV screen all day everyday.

We had the half loaf to start which was good except the butter was completely melted. A liquid mess. For mains we had fish and chips and chicken burger. The chicken burger was good, had a bit of hotness from the jalapeño but maybe a bit too much bacon. The fish was terrible. My partner only managed to eat one fillet and couldn’t eat the other. The batter did not seem fresh and made him feel unwell. The chips served with both dishes were good, very chunky The staff are friendly and there is table service but unfortunately we would not eat there again

Good selection of local beers on draft. There is an option for 4 tasters at $18, which we took. Didn't try the food, but seems like the usual pub food are available. Place was filled up in the evening, and there was live music. Great ambience.

God daaaaaamn those giant chips are amazing!! Awesome food and beer. Live music was great as well.

Extremly slow service and missundestood orders... Cheap explaination why does a welldone steak takes 60 mins to be served...like I'd be a fool who never did a steak at home. :D Portions are small than usual, however tastes good. Rating is to the slowness and rude explanation.

Service was bad. We waited 70 minutes to get our food after ordering. Waitress did not come back after talking our order until she cleared the plates. The hostess brought us our food. We needed to go to the bar to pay. Out of the 3 meals, 2 were good. The other, a steak sandwich was not edible without a knife. Very bad piece of meat. Two other parties had similar issues. We saw one couple he next day and they said they got a discount. No such luck for us.
