Bluebiyou is the only restaurant/function venue located directly on the beachfront in the entire Bay of Plenty – we offer a unique dining experience and you will enjoy the uncomplicated, chilled out atmosphere.

We were really looking forward to dining at BLUEBIYOU given its beautiful beachfront setting, but unfortunately our experience didn’t match the location or the price point.nnWhen we were seated, there were dirty napkins under the table, which wasn’t a great first impression. The menus were also quite worn and sticky, which added to the feeling that attention to detail was lacking.nnOur waitress was pleasant, but we weren’t given any updates about the menu or dishes, and there were no check-ins during the meal to ensure everything was okay. The same happened when we were paying — no questions about how our experience was.nnUnfortunately, the food itself was disappointing. The eye fillet steak was surprisingly tough, the pork was inedible, and the fish and chips were mediocre with a limp side salad. Considering the premium pricing, we expected much better quality.nnAfter reading some of the previous reviews, it seems we’re not the only ones who have noticed these issues, and it’s disappointing that they still haven’t been addressed.nnBLUEBIYOU has an incredible setting, but the overall experience just doesn’t live up to it. With some genuine attention to detail and improvements to both service and food quality, it could be so much better. As with others we won't be back.
First time here. Really enjoyed it. Yummy food and friendly fast service. It was a little quiet but the weather was bad and a all black game on too. But definitely recommend it. Reasonably priced.
The place was nice to eat at and the sentry is very nice but the one thing that I couldn't get past was the food. The food i ordered was pork and scallops but they very just drenched in this awful sauce and then onto of that is was overcooked everything was pretty good but not the best restaurant I have been to that is certainly for sure.
Food was amazing, specially the K-fried chicken atmosphere at 7pm on Wednesday was still a good time! However, when we ask for dessert menu, she gave it to us but didnt came back after 40mins to ask what we want to order so we just pay and left. Must have forgetten us
Excellent, friendly service and a beautiful spot to enjoy modern cuisine and a glass of wine.nWe shared a bottle of pinot gris with a delicious bowl of green lipped mussels in coconut cream broth.
