A lovely friendly place to enjoy good food and drink with family and friends.
When you visit Greer’s you can sit back and relax in our traditional bar with solid oak floor, Schist stone fireplaces and a warm friendly atmosphere.
Take a moment to peruse our menu and maybe order a meal or two. Sample some of our great beers, including Heineken and Monteith's and choose from a good selection of wines. Our house wines are from the local Mills Reef Winery here in Tauranga.
Greer's is named after Lieutenant-Colonel Henry Harpur Greer, the man behind the naming of Greerton.
Born in County Tyrone, Ireland on 24 February 1821. Lieutenant-Colonel Greer commanded the 68th (Durham) Light Infantry Regiment. He retired from the army in 1881 and died in 1886.
Greerton is steeped in local history, with many of its streets being named after early settlers from the 1800s.
Having grown substantially during the 1950s and 60s, Greerton is today a vibrant village in the heart of Tauranga.
Come and visit Greer's and take a look at the many photos hung around our walls, recording Greerton's development over the years.
