Story

We acknowledge the Darug and Gundungurra peoples as traditional custodians of the land on which we work.
Blue Mountains Pet Resort is a Blue Mountains City Council Development Approved Boarding Facility with a Licence as an Animal Establishment. Our Certificate to board dogs and cats can be viewed in our Office during our business hours.
We cater to dogs, cats, rabbits, ducks, rats, guinea pigs and chickens etc.
We have a luxurious cattery and heated fully insulated purpose built buildings for your dogs.
We offer 24 hour supervision and have a complimentary Environmental Enrichment Program as well as geriatric care and generous opening hours.
John and Susan have 70 years of experience in the Australian Pet Industry, having been registered breeders (RAS), pet carers and owners as well. We are proud members of the Pet Industry Association of Australia.
We have 17 acres of bushland including a grassy paddock for walks and bush tracks for bushwalks.
We are conveniently located on the Great Western Highway between Mount Boyce Nursery and the weighbridge.

We have two purpose built indoor fully insulated buildings, one for large dogs and one for small dogs. We also have a separate large building where the cats are individually housed singly or in family groups.
We individually cater a meal plan for your pets nutritional meals using only the best quality food such as premium wet food and super premium biscuits such as Royal Canin and Science Diet for cats, snappy tom, whiskas, Purr tins, Dine, Fancy Feast, hoki fish pieces, gourmet mince and for your dog we have hot meals available at no extra cost for example:
New Zealand Hoki fish pieces with borlotti beans, carrots, corn and rice.
Gourmet beef and kidney casserole with broccoli, beans, penne pasta and demi glace.
Bones and commercial meat loaf are usually available

For the cats we have different types of rooms available:
Standard rooms: with a shelf to sit on, a kennel to sleep in, toys, scratching posts, pictures, pillows, a rug and decorations hanging from the ceilings
Family rooms: double size or with interconnecting doors, a large shag pile rug, 2 kennel beds, baskets, faux greenery, scratching posts and a large window.
The Country Cottage: with a Swiss chalet style 2 story house, shag pile rug, large scratching post, mini cane chair and faux greenery
The condos: suited for the shy cat or elderly with low shelves, sheep skin rugs,cane and plastic beds, scratching post, litter box, toys etc.
The Luxury Suite: with faux fur rug, large window, shelving, cane sofa and bassinette, mini furniture for cats, special water and food bowls.

For the dogs we have two buildings; one for small dogs or frail dogs and one for large. We have outdoor runs for sunny days and a large paddock and bushwalk track. Our horses live in the paddock next to the kennel and the dogs love to see them thru the fence.
The kennels have trampoline beds, very thick insulated walls, lots of blankets, stainless steel food and water bowls and toys. The little dog buildings has trampoline beds, baskets or rota pet beds with memory foam and blankies.
We have many trained animal care attendants who spend all day playing and cleaning up after the dogs. We also provide a free dog bath, fluff, power dry and brush after 7 days of boarding but this must be booked in advance. Complimentary puppy and pussy perfume is available at all times. Please just ask for it :)
We always welcome inspections between our opening hours and always recommend inspecting a kennel or cattery before you book.
VACCINATIONS Dogs must have a minimum of C5 and for cats F3. Pets are normally not accepted for boarding within 14 days of a vaccination, medical procedure or apparent recovery from a contagious illness.
Boarding fees only cover standard care. If your cat or dog needs medicine or pills fees may apply.

PRICES for boarding from:
CATS:
1 cat = $20 per day
2 cats = $35 per day sharing enclosure
3 cats = $50 per day sharing enclosure

DOGS:
Small breed: $26 per dog per day
Medium to large: $29 per dog per day
Giant breed: $32 per dog per day
PER CALENDAR DAY

DAYCARE;
$32 for small dogs $35 for med/large dogs

There is a peak season surcharge of $8 per pet per day for 4 days of Easter and from 23/12 to 3/1 over Xmas New Year. We have a minimum stay period over Christmas and normally closed during these festive days for pickup or drop off so Daycare is also unavailable.
