Great fish and chips, affordable price. The batter is just perfect, crunchy and not too thick. Fresh made when you order and the fish always taste fresh. It's a family owned business and we love to support local business, much better value for money than other fast food options.
Sadly we have noticed a change and not for the better, oily fish, less than a teaspoon of sauce per burger and hotdog and $6 chips Is ridiculous... More like $2-$3 chips. Customer service is pretty bad too, We are looking for a new local unfortunately.
Good standard fish and chips. Really good prices. Lemon pepper comes standard on fish, so if you don't like that ask for no lemon pepper. They do crumbed fish for 80c extra, and a decent pineapple fritter. Honestly prices are good, it's like they haven't heard of inflation.Food: 5/5
I love the idea of the kiwi fish shop it's the thing you don't get many places where you can go to the window and choose what fish you want and then they'll cook it for you unfortunately this is not the place it was a regular fish and chip shop but I think some people miss the point you have to cook it where people can see it although it's cooked really nice and the chips are really nice but unfortunately the decor looks like they've closed down except they're open there's not much lighting in there it really looks like the people of gone on holiday that owned it before and they haven't come back yet if you want a good example of the way a fish and chip shop should be go to remiera fisheries they always sell out and their food is great I hope the owners of this fish and chip shop take heed and listen to some destructive criticism

Best local fish and chips ever. Fish is always so fresh. Be prepared for a wait on Friday nights however because they are busy due to their popularity. Much recommended
Came here for lunch, I got the $7 special, 2 sausages, 1 fish ,& chips. Was very filling, I couldn't finish it all.
Great value fish & chips. The fish is well battered and seasoned. I'd recommend getting Gurnard over Snapper; and asking for chicken salt to be added into your chips. Potato fritters are also good. Can be a tad oily but depends on what you like.
Pretty poor customer service. Stood there 30mins after the time they said it would be ready and they never bother to do a simple call out like every other fish and chip shop, they could atleast put the food on the bench so we can see if theres something ready. Food was cold and soggy when i got it. The main dude is pretty rude, have bought from here for many years as the food is decent but hes never once smiled or atleast acted friendly. Not a care at all for his customers.
