Found multiple issues with the camper and having a difficult time with communication with the warranty/support team, honestly we just want out money back at this point, 7 month of waiting for a camper we can't use due to canvas/stitching errors
Our 2018 Patron has given us many amazing weekends away with our kids 1 & 3. The staff at the Brisbane showroom were great to deal with and we have since got 2 of our friends to also purchase one. Very happy, a few very minor issues with the camper but we have used it a lot and taken it through some very rough terrain so nothing to complain about.
We bought a dominator in 2016, and it has been a nightmare since. Sales staff were horrible. Just after your money. Beware of what they show you in the show room and what you get delivered. WURST EVER
12mth Review and 6500km: All in all average camper, never used alot of the extras as cheap quality... Even under cover, somehow rubber boots have all perished, 60Amp fuses and electrical components have failed, Canvases have torn, finishings are starting to deteriorate. Would suggest looking at all options before purchasing. Hooray 23wks and we made it, we collected our Patron today. To say we were excited was a understatement, and all in all we were happy with the initial product at handover. However when we got home and started to unpack our smiles started to disappear when we found the quality that Black Series strives upon was not there. We came across multiple damages and I'm guessing short cuts that we now have to rectify. However once these small things are fixed I believe we will have some great camping adventures. Unfortunately to say, I am very disappointed at this point in time. Hopefully I change my mind once we finally receive our camper. We paid a deposit as instructed to process our order in early October. We were told by the salesperson that it would be 14-19wks which we were willing to wait. Everything was arranged as requested. We never received any communications on how the build/delivery was going until we checked in ourselves via phone calls and emails. Each time we finally got a reply, it was constantly being pushed back. We had holidays booked which we have had to cancel as it has been overly delayed. I was confident in allowing 20wks after the initial date would be suffice, how wrong was I... So in short - we still haven’t got it after 22 weeks and are now being told to take out insurances for finance even after still not receiving a collection date. I hope the wait is well worth it, however after reading reviews am starting to feel disappointed. Update: Yay finally received our Patron....,
We had a fantastic experience with Black Series Campers. The girls in Brisbane were so helpful and informative. Which made the transaction so much easier.
It's been pretty good so far, we tested all and it seems to be working well. Trent from the Brisbane showroom was very nice and delivered the camper when he said he would. Pretty happy with the whole thing.
Hi Black Series, I am writing a complaint. We contacted you about three problems in our BRAND NEW Patron and have not had a reply. These problems occurred prior to our first trip in the camper. 1. Rear ratchet wheel broke while setting up camper in the driveway. This problem was resolved by the amazing Ethan in your Melbourne office. I hope that you are paying Ethan well although I am not sure of that. He is the only reason for the two stars. 2. Seat missing a board. When we lay the rear seat flat we could not creat the slide out bed because a board was missing. We have still not heard from you about this missing piece. We resolved this ourselves by paying for a piece of cut ply wood from Bunnings. Should I send you the receipt for reimbursement? 3. Internal slide out bed lock does not work. Only solution coming again from Ethan the sales guy in Melbourne. No word from Sydney customer non-service or warranty. We have also fixed this by wedging door stoppers into the mechanism. We are heading around Aus in March with this trailer. I hope it makes it back! The only person who rang back from Sydney was the person in finance who took our money. This is unacceptable customer service and undermines the messages your website and your staff deliver. I do not expect a reply, given your record on communication.
To say I am disappointed at the least is an understatement at this point in time. I hope I change my mind once we finally get our trailer. Paid a deposit on site in Brisbane and was told there was an 8 week wait which was fine. We were also told by the salesperson that black series wouldn’t take an payments until after receiving the goods so that we weren’t paying for something we didn’t have. We organised our finance well before this time frame that we were originally told. We never received any communications on how the build/delivery was going until we checked in ourselves via phone calls and emails. Each time we finally got a reply, it was constantly being pushed back. I understand the ‘covid’ situation cause possible delays but not once was this told to us unless we reached out ourselves. Holidays were booked and we have had to cancel as it has been delayed. I am pretty certain allowing 8 weeks after our initial delivery date to book a trip away should have been plenty of “give time” should we receive it late. So in short - we still haven’t got it after 17 weeks more than twice the initial build time we have started making repayments on it which they said wouldn’t happen, we are also paying insurance on it without actually having it and still no delivery date in site. After reading these reviews we better not get their to pick it up and not have all our extras we have paid for. So disappointed in the communication and service. The product better be better than this! I will then amend my review to update it.
