We were delightfully surprised to find this little Thai restaurant tucked away in this corner. The service was wonderful and the restaurant was very accommodating to our no garlic, no onion and gluten-free requests. We offered complimentary prawn crackers and spring rolls which were delicious. The spring rolls were freshly made.We ordered the Vegetarian Tofu Choo Chee Curry and the Laksa. Both were absolutely scrumptious. The curries were made with wonderfully fresh ingredients, thick, creamy, and authentic. We also ordered a Pad See Eiw which was excellent. They also stock the Harmless Harvest Coconut juices which we all love. It pairs perfectly with Thai cuisine. The serving sizes were all just right and the meals are so competitively priced. I highly recommend this restaurant and will certainly be back again.
First time we came here to have breakfast we had a coupon from our hotel for four free breakfast meals! The man behind the counter was rude, didn’t welcome us and seemed to have no interest! We ordered extra avocado on on two of our meals. On the sign behind him it clearly said that it was $3 for extra avocado however he charged us $3.50. 50c isn’t a big deal but because he had a rude attitude to go along with it. It was a big deal! The child that Was running around doing majority of everything had more manners then the older man. The next day we walked in and brought coffees from the shop next to jasmines as at the time he was closed. As we walked it he came straight to us didn’t even let us reach the counter and said we can’t come in with other drinks coffees his approach was rude and could have been a lot more polit. I believe that anyone that comes in with a food coupon for breakfast he was no time or respect for these customers. As seen all the other reviews a lot of other customers think this to. If you have a free food coupon I would 100% not recommend this place. The other cafes have a lot more respect and leave you being happy with the rest of your day
My husband & I are staying at the Shear Water Resort & used our free breakfast voucher here this morning. We were warmly greeted & the service was quick! Obviously a family owned/operated business as our wait staff were two beautiful children The meals were great as was the coffee we’ll be back there in the morning we wish we had some cash on us as we would have given the kids a tip!!
Staying at Shearwater their menu was in the hotel welcome folder and decided to give them a try on the last day. Staff were friendly, menu presents well and prices are fair. Called up for room service to find they only did that during hours that weren't specified on the menu or in store. Told by staff that due to changes information online wasn't accurate. Seemed to be popular with neighbouring businesses and had steady breakfast patrons so took the punt and bought their $15 #1 combo plate. Salad was non existent, rice was ok but microwave reheated, spring rolls were average at best and seemed bought in and not made on site, curry puff was really good. The main element of the dish - a chicken curry was more filled out with potato and carrot than anything and the sauce had no taste, at a guess I would say it was frozen wholesale and then bulked out with corn flour in store. All in all I'm glad I tried it so I know but would never consider going back. Maybe you have to be in the know with the staff and order off menu?
Nice food, coffee and meal presentation but the customer service from the man out front is lacking big time, not very pleasant, friendly or welcoming at all. We stayed at the Shearwater resort over a year ago and experienced the same poor customer service from the same person then. The other dining option wasn't opened on this trip and i cringed walking into Black Jasmine. It really was a bit disappointing to experience the same poor customer service.
Our family of 4 ate breakfast here. The omelette, eggs benedict and bacon and eggs were all nice and fresh and I can personally say that the pancakes were light, fluffy and delicious. The service was friendly and efficient at 8.20 am.
My wife and I take the kids here for the breakfast deals frequently. The location is great close to the beach, the price is the least expensive in Kings Beach that I have found yet the quality of the food is excellent and is cooked to perfection. I will keep coming back. Highly recommended.
We went here for what was meant to be a lovely family dinner. First impression wasn’t great - isn’t the best looking place. We decided to stay anyway. Ordered our meals. The owner brought out prawn crackers and rudely mentioned we couldn’t have alcohol here although we read BYO on the menu as per photo. This wouldn’t be an issue, except the way we were spoken to. He was extremely rude and stated we’d have to pay per can. Again no issue, but the attitude was. Owner stormed back inside, so one of us went inside to clarify how much per can. He said it’d be $2 and a few other rude remarks. We asked to cancel the order, offered to pay for the can of drink we ordered. Owner refused and said quite a few rude words. We have never been treated like this by a stranger, let alone a store owner. We are shocked and disgusted. Horrible man.
We had a very tasty breakfast. Very affordable and tasty. He was very patient with us, since we had a young child witch was very slow at eating breaky and it was closing time. We had a wonderful breakfast, that complimented the end to our weekend break. Thanks very much.
Staff were transactional, food was ordinary and the flies made it unbearable to stay long. We were here for breakfast and we ordered the avocado salmon, bacon and eggs and croissant. While the latter two were okay, half of the avocado was brown with spots on the other half and the salmon tasted like it was off. The man that took our order seemed like he wished he was somewhere else and the rest of the time we were served by a child. The breaking bottles and flies from the bins next door finished off the unpleasant experience.
