Lamb's Fry is not a popular dish these days but I was pleased to see it on their menu and even more pleased to report it as the best I've had in many years. While Chilli Jam is a not funky looking cafe, it is under new ownership and the service was very friendly and meals were well priced.

Been before and had a good experience. Greeted by nice young girl. Asked for my coffee made a specific way...got it wrong twice although despite offering to change it again, it was nearly half an hour into our seating. Food was 'meh'. Seemed very disorganised with the usual young people serving and not really keeping a handle on things. Good excuse to try somewhere else. Maybe a change of management? Why is it so hard to find consistency in good quality! Overall, not terrible but wouldn't rush back.

My partner and I visited here while we were passing through yesterday. After seeing the 4.8 star rating, we decided to pop in. Unfortunately we were not given a 4.8 star, or even a three star service. The coffee was burnt. We were watching the barista (both having made coffees ourselves) and he had no clue what he was doing. I was given a wrap, which tasted as though it has been prepared on a dirty/chemical covered surface. The beans were hard, and the avacofo, not ripe yet. The muesli we ordered was stale, and was served with the milk already in. The milk in our mussels and smoothie was at room temperature. Not a positive experience at all.

Safe to assume the rating is due to a long gone owner, I'd rather eat mud pies.
