High standard local french bistro. The food is beautifully layered in flavour. You can tell the best cooking techniques are adhered to. We had the onion soup, prawns and duck. Each dish was truly delicious. The wine list is tiny but well paired.
This is indeed a French-inspired, bistro style Cafe and restaurant with a limited but pleasant menu. The choices, despite their number, are rich and filling. The grandest surprise was the cheese tart, which was extremely delicious. The breads that you can start the meal with are also exquisite with the right butter. The trout had to be looked for inside the greenery that was hiding it, making it a pleasant surprise. There are some good wines as well, but they ran out of the French cider unfortunately. The complimentary crêmes brulées were delicious. Definitely a solid recommendation though for a pleasant meal and brunch/lunch period.
Found this restaurant 7 yrs ago from Ella’s list when My kids were toddlers. Babies and kids friendly restaurant heaps of room for prams and little play area also changing table in toilet Seasonal menus are always good choices and reasonable price. The wine selections are easy matching with any menu you order.
Really nice place for brunch. Lovely selection of favourites, with a Bitton twist! Good coffee and yummy cakes!! Friendly staff and very relaxed atmosphere. We were also offered a complimentary crème brûlée each, which was very sweet of them. Reasonably priced and plenty of parking on main road.
Special entree was quail. Good value selection of wine. Sydney rock oysters. Crumbed pork fillet. Very attentive service. Good to see this restaurant back in action and delighting Erskineville. Thank you
We were a party of 4 for lunch on a busy Friday. We were seated out in the courtyard which gave us a quieter place to catch up. The service was attentive & friendly. The menu is not extensive but what was offered was very satisfying especially the goats cheese tart. The pinot noir was not the best choice of wine. This cafe deserves its patronage & I'm sure we will return here in future.
Had a good meal here on a quiet Sunday afternoon. The food quality was good but the service was lacking. Felt like a bit of an inconvenience before it got busier in the evening. We also watched a young couple next to us get served their dessert before their main which they didn't want which was just odd. More staff training required.
Lovely setting and friendly service. Tough to choose what to eat from the menu, but great reccos from the staff. Nice place for a catch up! Complimentary mini creme brulee was a nice touch too
Been to Bitton a few times and usually it’s a hit however on one occasion I was served a cheeseburger with the lettuce missing, a sad looking patty and two ugly looking tomatoes. Standards seem to drop whenever there’s a party or they’re booked out which is not really an excuse sadly.
Came here on a french food tour with a set menu. The food was fresh, seasonal, and super rich as good french food should be. The wines were exceptionally good.
