Nice enough place, there is a flat and accessible sealed walking track, met someone with a walker there.nnThere are toilets, shade and picnic tables. The park was quiet when I was there mid morning on a weekend.
This place is very nice because it has really excellent native trees there in a unique environmental setting. There are cycling trails available around the park. Before, we used to go to Birrarung Park by car and I used to cycle there a lot. Nowadays, When I take this park occasionally by bike, it took approximately 10 minutes to get there. However, it can be improved when there are cycling trails that go back home.
The playground is currently fenced off aside from the swings and sandpit due to damage, hopefully an upgrade is on the way.nThere's been some improvement lately with some long awaited clean-up following the October '22 floods and views of the main billabong opened up after being dry for many years. The old wood fired BBQs are gone but nothing has replaced them yet and there are some shiny new drinking fountains Enjoy the walks and wildlife.
It's a good place to be with your family. Nice and open with lots of parking space.nYou have BBQ area and nice dining area to enjoy a sunny day with good food.nKids got lots of area to play and few fun games are there.nI love visiting this place whenever I get a chance with my family.nMaintenance is really good and it’s always nice and clean.
Birrarrung picnic area is kinda of private location that you can enjoy your family/friends gathering. It is safe for dogs too. There is no BBQ at this one but the table and benches are brand new.
