Beware if you get pathology done and make sure you follow-up yourself. We thought this place was brilliant but when my sister had pathology done she was told she’d be contacted if the results showed anything. She wasn’t contacted and there were things that needed follow-up.

I have been there several times and have seen several drs who have all impressed me greatly. You can make an apt and also they bulk bill. In addition they have a pathologist on site. Well recommended

I give 5 stars to the medical practioners especially Dr Ying Wu. I also give 5 stars to the staff and modern facilities. 5 stars also go to the efficiency of the process. However, the so-call reception manager ( a female in her 40, blonde ) was really annoying. She explains the policy in a way that sounds like she doesn't understand it. It's not her fault I guess as a private clinic has the right to set a consultation price, which I found out later when I called the NSW health complaint commission. However, she said the reason why they charge me is because it's the extra effort that doctor made. And also she asked me to leave because she's busy. I can't believe a person can be so rude. Why is she the manager ? Does she understand client service and crisis management.

I have been going to the centre since it opened and throughout the years have been seen by numerous doctors and I have observed that whoever sees me do their best to be thorough and deliver the optimal care management I require. The reception people are friendly and helpful and again I cannot name just one. The place is clean and I particularly appreciate the provision of water and hand sanitizers. I guess what I want to say is that it is comforting to know that there is a place to go to that does not make you feel worse when you are most vulnerable physically. Thank you to the doctors and staff at the Birkenhead Medical Centre.
