Story

Big Fish was established in mid 2013, By Luke and Jenna Mahoney.

The Melton locals and the Melbourne west were screaming out for an aquarium that stocked what THEY wanted, and someone they could go back to for trusted advise no problem was too big or small

we have created the peoples aquarium we want to get to know each and everyone of you fish crazy people and then pass it on to the next generation of fish crazy's.

Great variety of Fish. I spent an hour in the store browsing having the most fun looking at all the different fish and some I havent seen before. Prices for the fish and supplies are greatly fair priced. Staff know their stuff and are happy to help. They even will help get the fish you want ordered in. Another fun part is seeing all the fish stay their while their owners holiday. They look after them so well they all looked fantastic.

A small aquarium, housing such a wide variety of fish not often seen in mainstream aquarium shops. Staff were so attentive and full of information, happy to have a chat about fish breeds I hadn't seen before. A must visit in the west!

Amazing service and knowledge of aquarium needs, nothing seems of trouble and the staff are happy to assist and order in when they can.  Recommend

Great place with people who know what they talking about. My little lantern is a awesome light at night through my fish tank, which I bought here.

I found this place by chance in search of a new Betta fish. I had previously bought them from local pet shops but after finding the Big Fish Aquarium I will always be returning here for my fish needs! As a novice Betta keeper, Luke was extremely helpful and friendly and it was fantastic to see someone so passionate about keeping and looking after fish. They offer great advice and keep some really beautiful fish, all of which are healthy, looked after and looking beautiful.

Friendly staff, informative and reasonable price

Brought a couple of really cool fish, and got some great advice of fish foods and even managed to buy a light for one of my tanks, the staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Will deffinatly be coming back. 100/10 would recommend to anyone looking to buy anything fish related.

Love this store!!! It's our favourite. It serves all our basic fish hobby needs. Every one of the staff are so helpful and wonderful who are happy to share with you all the information you need, if you have queries on fish or the technical aspects of fish keeping. It's a delightful trip each time we visit the store .. it almost feels like a mini aquarium museum with many delightful variety of fishes and live plants within Melton. Prices of most basic accessories, food, tanks, etc are all reasonably affordable - especially at last minute notice of caring for frys and baby shrimps - without waiting for days/weeks for the same/similar products from online stores. Such a delight to find phantom/glass catfish being on sale recently!
