This cafe is normally quite busy especially on weekends with locals. Ordered some standard breakfast items and coffees. Service was fast, and staff quite accommodating. The cafe lost a few points with table cups that were quite grubby, and toast didn’t come with butter. Eggs a bit on the bland side. Otherwise good and pricing was OK.
I love their coffee. Nice seating outside, almost no waiting for the morning coffee, the other one star is just for the chocolate croissant, that was much of chocolate for myself, but others may love it. The breakfast menus is very nice with good prices.
It's honestly so bad here. Just went in on a hot day and ordered a frappe they have several different frappes on their menu. Instead, I received a warm juice with literally no ice. Service was awful, told the lady after ordering my drink that I would order food in a moment and she never checked back, I had to finally flag her down, which was surprisingly difficult considering I was one of 2 tables in there at the time. I wish someone would buy this place and put some love into it...it has potential, but it is consistently bad under current management
Good brekkie food, decent price. Good service. Poached egg was cooked a bit too much.
Friendly young team, great food and good portions.
Food quality average had the big breakfast only decent thing were the scram eggs. Dirty cutlery and cups, numerous tables left messy and dirty the whole time we were there and the customer service was very poor. Waste of money definitely would not recommend.
If you're going to run a cafe that serves breakfast, it would help to know how to poach eggs - they are always overcooked here. There are a few good things on the menu if you stick to scrambled eggs or a bacon egg roll. For the most part, the portions are big and it's fairly inexpensive. It's very noisy inside thanks to the endless clacking of the coffee grinder.
Update: I tried the salmon, avo, egg, spinach, holondaise sauce in a wrap and had to get it 2 more times in a row it was so good! $10 with a coffee. I often come here for the delicious bacon & egg roll + coffee deal for $10. The serving size is very generous. The coffee is great. The staff are very friendly.
I first went to Big Brekky in February and ordered the pancakes with ricotta, maple syrup and blueberry coulis: what a bliss! I had never eaten pancakes like that! Thick and fluffy, not greasy, in a word: perfect!! I went there again today and ordered the same meal because my memory was so tasty and I wasn't disappointed in the least! My parents had Country Manor Eggs and Ceasar Chicken Salad and they were absolutely delighted! Please don't change a thing!
Love the selection at Big Brekky with amazing choices for vegetarians. So good in fact, I've known people to order the vegan breakfast with a side of bacon. Good coffee and a big outside courtyard, perfect for hungover fixes on Sunday mornings.
