I recently went on the guided Bibbulmun Track for Beginners overnight hike with my teenage daughter. Having never hiked in Australia before, and her being a total beginner we loved the experience facilitated by the Bibbulmun Track Foundation; from the online planning night to the gear hire to the hike itself. Our guides Claudia and Neil were awesome, sharing many tips and tricks along the hike, we feel much better prepared to hike on our own in future. They are great people who volunteer their time. The gear we hired from BTF was top notch and the process to hire/return was simple. Steve is super easy to communicate with and very very helpful. My daughter has booked in with some friends for the teens hike next month; BTF also support teenagers completing their Duke of Ed award - we couldn't do this alone! I wouldn't hesitate to attend another BTF facilitated hike, a wonderful way to experience the magical Bibbulmun Track.
Being a totally newcomer to bush walking, my first walk was on the track with the amazing guides of the Bibbulmun Track Foundation. Since than I have done two overnights and some day hikes end every time I had a wonderful time. The guides are very professional, have a huge knowledge about nature and history of the track, are very patient and supportive even with slow and unexperienced walker like me! and make every walk friendly and fun. I become a member to support the great job they do to maintain the track, but also because their newsletter on paper and electronic is a precious source of information about the track and the activities.
A shocking, highly unprofessional and very rude customer service by Deb Spiden. I think the foundation could train their ‘volunteers’ at least the basics - to greet their paying customers to start with and to be at least somewhat polite, if work professionalism is too much to ask.
Really helpful information and advice. I highly recommend the service and an essential part of planning for and stepping out on the Bibbulmun Track.
Everything you need to know about the Track is located here. Many are vollies who have walked the Track before you. Go meet them and get acquainted with the possibility of exploring the richness of the southwestern WA forests and wilderness.
Issue now sorted, thanks Helen
They work hard to make the track experience so special.
We had a fabulous Balingup Weekend Adventure. We leant so much and the guide was amazing.
