Visited during a rainy day so may change in nice weather. This place is busy! Wall to wall tents and campers. The facilities get a really good workout. I didn't even bother trying to shower as I didn't feel like lining up. BBQs ran out of gas halfway through dinner which caused a bit of chaos. Friendly staff. I definitely prefer quieter campgrounds but that's not the fault of this place in it's popular location. Would give three and a half stars if it was possible. Tons of people using the area as a jumping off point into Abel Tasman via kayaks and water taxis.

Best ablution block in NZ. New, well looked after facilities. Don't forget 50c for the shower! Was very busy when we went, full of families but it was reasonably quiet after 10pm. Staff were very helpful.

$36 for 2 people, campervan per night. Reception is very pleasant and efficient. The sites are very close together and there is no privacy between areas. The kitchen area is quite large with gas cooktop outside under a covered area and electric indoors. It seemed small at first considering the size of the camp but was actually well set up so you weren't really crowding others or being crowded while cooking. The gas, randomly stopped halfway through cooking our meal, not sure what happened, so had to move to electric. The bathrooms aren't great. Due to the crowds and the rain, they weren't very clean. You have to pay .50 for a shower, which is fine but the machines are outside the shower, on a wall by the sinks. So you basically pick a stall, get changed, wrap up in your towel, go put in your coins and then go back to your stall. The other portable toilets we're in the same condition due to crowds and rain, the area around them was also flooded and you got soaked getting there.

Great camp with the most amazing staff!! Such a beautiful place that helps family's grow memories together. Definitely on you top 10 places to stay 🌺
