Wonderful views! It's a place you can't miss when visiting New Zealand. The color of the sea is fabulous. It's worth to take a long walk in the forest. It's not always easy especially when you have to go uphill but the views are breath-taking. We took one of organized tours with a boat ride at the beginning and a long walk, finished with a short nap on the beach - it was a great experience. Especially interesting and surprising was a ride in the boat but actually on the tractor that took the boat to the sea :). I just wished we took a kayaking trip in the bay, as the views must have been astonishing, but maybe next time :).

Beautiful beaches, not too many people, and something new to discover every time we visit. Glow worm caves at The Anchorage, magic beaches and swimming all day. A must-visit if you're in the area.

Worth to make a walk. Not the whole at least like everything looks like the same. Made the walk from Bark bay back to visitor center. Water taxi costs 42$ one way. 7 hours walk back. Great landscape!

This is the dry side of New Zealand where you will find the most sunshine. No roads and foot access makes it a backpacker paradise. Peek out from your sleeping bag at night to see glow worms under logs. Plenty of wildlife, good fishing and a chance to have the solitude of a private beach.

The track is very easy going and not technical at all. A few good views of the bays along the way. Hut are kept very well and are in great condition. Overall a good experience. I would o my recommend to beach and ocean lovers. It's similar to the Thornsbourne Trail on Hinchinbrook Island in Australia.
