I came in with a throat infection and was prescribed antibiotics. A month later I still had the infection and it was worse, at times I could barely breath my tonsils were so swollen. I was prescribed more powerful antibiotics and medication for the swelling, an appointment was made with a specialist and the GP asked me to come back in a week for a check up. I called up a week later for an appointment, only to be told there were no doctors in that day. I called again Monday, same thing. And again Tuesday. Thursday I call again and I mention that there are no doctors and I'm told there all away or sick but they can have me see someone who is not with Medicare on Saturday morning. I make an appointment for this. And at 10am Saturday when I get there the office is locked up and nobody is in. When I get home an hour later and call up, now they're in. They were a few minutes late they say. Didnt think to call anyone. Been waiting an hour for me they say. Didnt think to call me and ask when I'd be in and apologise for the delay. Totally incompetent and oblivious.

I booked an appointment at Bentleigh GP Centre using health engine. Got there and the lights were off. Called the number and they didnt answer. Had to go to the hospital because I couldn't get in anywhere else quick enough.
