Casual but classy wine bar with a predominately Mediterranean food menu. Bellota is licensed and has decent wine list, spirits and aperitifs, but you're also welcome to BYO from the Prince Wine Store next door with $15 corkage - which can work out to a massive saving on premium wines while dining.
Delicious food and love that you can choose from the vast selection of wine from their wine store next door to have with dinner! Will be heading back there again. We shared a charcuterie and cheese board, then got the Arancini, the mussel special and the sardine dish. Was a perfect amount and meant we got to try a few different things!
A genuine surprise packet. Exceptional service and outstanding dishes with a beautifully curated list of options to match the gargantuan selection of vino available next door at one of Australia’s leading fine wine teams. Could not fault a thing and even the coffee was brilliant - Bravo ! Highly Recommend
Attended a wine tasting with shared food plates here. Not enough food - but boy was it good! Atmosphere downstairs is just what we'd like. Excellent wine choice to be expected with Prince Wine store adjacent!
Delicious food in a relaxed " wine bar" environment. Get a bottle of great wine from Prince next door and pay $15 corkage. The Salumi board was great as are the pasta and risotto. Coffee is excellent.
This wine bar has a nice vibe to it and the wines on offer are amazing. The other half has been here for meals over official meetings they have a private room that can seat 20 peopleand he cannot stop raving about it, especially the stake. Attendants are knowledgeable and courteous. Little on the expensive side, they have some nice affordable wines but worth taking your chances.
Came here with my partner for dinner + wine and was blown away by the amazing staff and beautiful food and wine. The penne was amazing with tender lamb ragu, burrata, crispy potatoes and arancini were for entrée which were all delicious. 10/10 service with great product knowledge and smiles, an extensive wine by the glass and bottle list, plus you can buy a bottle of wine next door and have it in the restaurant which is a very nice touch. Will definitely be back!
Good food amazing wines. As you expect form a place that launched Princes Wine Store. If you at like me you will spend more on wine then on the food so be warned! Not to say the food is poor, it’s quite good, it’s more a testimony to the quality of their wines!
Had a nice quiet night out. The wait time was surprisingly long and we were seated outside with no heating it was getting a bit chilly but despite that, the atmosphere was lovely, and the wait staff were really nice and accommodating but as we were seated on the bench that was the furthest from the restaurant, it was hard for them to be particularly attentive. The food was very tasty especially the spaghettini and the risotto and the mocktails were nice. Overall it was a little overpriced but still nice - we will probably come back if we're heading this way again.
One of my favorite local restaurants in South Melbourne! Visit this little germ in south Melbourne at least once a month- Great Food, awesome selection of wines You also have the option to pick or select your wines from Prince Wine Store & amazing atmosphere!
