My husband, son and I came for dinner tonight at Bella Donna. The staff were very helpful and my 6 year old was given colouring in on arrival. The pizza was fantastic , the wine was great. The atmosphere was really lovely. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

The pizza was really average but the pasta was terrible- all hard and dry. I had a table of 10 girls and all the pastas were really horrible. But the worst part of our dining experience was the poor service- the waiter who served us was extremely rude and irritable while taking our orders- he kept rolling his eyes and showing really rude body language. When we went to pay the bill the guy serving us was equally disrespectful and impatient- even charging us the wrong amount.

At the time writing this, Bella Donna has 3.2 stars. This seems really unfair. I thought the food was of high quality. We ordered a margherita pizza and mushroom pasta for our mains. The portions aren't huge but the quality ingredients made the meals very satiating. Imo the margherita was as close to the genuine article that you are going to get on the Gold Coast. Simple and delicious.  I think the mains were reasonably priced for quality restaurant food, but the starters overpriced. The inside is nice, and the outside is very pleasant being so close to the water. I think they have put a lot of attention into the decor and food. I hope the harsher reviews of this place don't still apply.

This restaurant advertises half price meals however, the original price is double any restaurant I know. My husband ordered a pizza, added 2 toppings and the price was $44, the pizza was very average. I had spaghetti, the sauce was very nice however the pasta was undercooked and stuck together. The drink menu advertised a spirit $8:50 but when we got the bill, they added an additional $1.50 for the mixer. This restaurant was overrated and was not one I would ever recommend.

Sat down, and were given a jug of some sort of Sangria which we presumed was complimentary. I ordered Chicken with avo and prawns. Prawns were absolutely inedible and the piece of chicken was tiny. My partner had ravioli bolognaise which tasted like it was bought from woolies across the road and cooked by a toddler. We then tried to pay, no EFTPOS!  AND they tried to charge us for the Sangria which we did not order! Above all, all staff were drinking Coronas at a table near us after they had served us our food, WHILE WORKING WITH CUSTOMERS IN THE RESTAURANT.  Absolutely disgusting service. Worst Italian restaurant we've ever eaten at.  0.5/10.

They served us without having a reservation. The space is cozy and interesting, the service was a bit slow but it was crowded so there are some excuses. I had some lamb which I requested medium but turned out way over done and tasted and looked more as a reheated leftover. The vegetables were some over done and some not enough. The antipasto had nothing exciting and the overall experience was average, not too bad but nothing to remember.

We visited here on Christmas Eve last year. The food was the best Italian food I've ever eaten in Queensland. The staff were lovely and bent over backwards to accommodate our individual dietary requirements. Can't wait to visit again soon.

We've recently moved to Southport and this has become a somewhat regular dinner spot for us. The food is great; consistent, tasty and fresh.  The place is always immaculate and it's great to be able to eat outside when the weather is good. Highly recommended, deserves more than he 3.1 starts is currently has!!!

We ate here on our trip from India over 2015 New years. The first young red head girl that seated us was polite but after my family waited over 1 hour for someone to ask us for our orders. I've even asked the person behind the counter and they advised to send someone to our table, however we waited for 15 more minutes. Overall, the food was over priced for the taste and the meals were very oily and fatty, not like the mediterranean italian food we are used to being served at an Italian restaurant.

The food was overpriced but we ordered a large dinner anyway since we were expecting to get the 50% discount. However at the moment to pay we have been asked to pay the full bill 350$ !!. We paid but we are sure never to come back. On the top of that, the quality of the food was really disappointing. We know and love the taste of real italian food and this was nothing but a poor imitation. Would give 0 stars if that was possible.
