After a peaceful walk at Donnellys Creek, we stopped by Beechworth Bakery in Healesville, and it was the perfect way to refuel. The quality of the food and the welcoming atmosphere made it a memorable visit.nnWe enjoyed the Schnitz BLT, which had a perfectly crispy schnitzel and fresh toppings, and the Spinach, Pumpkin, and Feta Pastie, which was rich and savory with a wonderfully flaky crust. For dessert, we tried the Caramel Slice, a sweet and indulgent treat, and the French Vanilla Slice, which was light, creamy, and absolutely delicious.nnThe bakery also offers a fantastic selection of biscuits. Their range of buttery shortbreads and classic cookies is a must-try. Perfectly baked, they’re an ideal pairing with a cup of coffee or tea and make for a great takeaway snack.nnUnfortunately, I couldn't take photos at the time because I was conserving my phone battery. However, I’ve included inspiration photos to give you an idea of the presentation and quality of the food. Trust me, the taste lives up to the visual appeal!nnThe staff were friendly and efficient, making the experience even better. Situated in the town center of Healesville, this bakery apparently has been around for decades and is a popular stop over. We tried their pie tasting flight which consists of 6 mini pies but they didn't tell us which pie has what fillings. However we have to say most of their pies are pretty good and the 6 mini pies probably equal to about 1-1.5 of normal sized pies. They also have plenty of other items like pastries, cakes, biscuits, and breads to suit everyone's liking young or old. The service was a little slow when we were there hence the markdown. Took a drive from Melbourne to have a coffee and pie here. Wasn't disappointed. Very relaxing environment on a Tuesday morning. The banana bread was a little dull and not toasted enough. Service was quick and easy. Will come again.
Visited Healesville bakery on a Sunday arvo. I was earlier disappointed that the famous butter chicken pie was not a part of the menu anymore. Later, you took out other pies too Thai and curry. Pretty disappointing considering there are not many chicken pie optionsnToday I ordered a country chicken pie and to my surprise it tasted bland less cheesy than usual. I have been visiting Beechworth bakery since last 10 years but what I ate today was no where close to what I used you get and not worth. I then ordered a chicken schnitzel coleslaw wrap which was the worst wrap I have ever had in my entire life.The chicken schitnzel was tasteless and it felt like I was eating a rubber. Plus what I paid for didn’t do justice at all .Won’t be visiting Beechworth at Healesville anymore.nnReplying to Beechworth Healesville reply: Sorry, I won’t be visiting Beechworth Healesville ever again. Not worth for us travelling all the way from Melbourne for 2 hours to have such pathetic food. Not worth it and I won’t be recommending Beechworth Healesville to anyone.
Beachworth Bakery in Healesville is an absolute delight. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by screens everywhere, keeping me informed of everything going on. Honestly, I wish more bakeries followed suit—it's so practical! Then there’s the massive drinks fridge, towering and fully stocked, making me dream of having one in my own house to hold all the drinks I could ever want. It’s like a model for how society should function—efficient, modern, and just right.nnThe aromas drifting from the sausage rolls, pies, and vanilla slice were heavenly. The scent alone felt like comfort, but what really stood out were the curious custard-filled desserts. Custard everywhere, and I love custard! It brought back warm memories of my grandma making custard for me as a kid—sweet and comforting, just like the treats here.nnHonestly, when I open up a bar one day—hopefully by the name of The Velvet Fedora—I’m going to have screens everywhere just like this place, and a huge drinks fridge just like theirs. I’ll have fun games like Spin the Bottle and Massage Circle, plus cool martinis on hand. This bakery has seriously inspired me to make that dream a reality. Beachworth Bakery is a five-star experience through and through!
