Lovely park and worth a visit. Went for an evening of music - which was excellent. Simply Red and Lisa Stansfield didn’t disappoint. The usual variety of food and drink within - naturally hugely overpriced. Plenty of entry and exit points and the park well signed to find. Worth a visit.
This has always been a lovely park and doesn't change much over the years. Ideal for walking, dogs, families and games. Tennis courts available. Large lake with a fountain and play areas at either end of the park. Beautiful trees to enjoy and a great cafe in the middle near the bandstand. Highly recommended.
The park was lovely. It was a very hot afternoon and there was lots of lovely shade from the trees. Grass was well cut no dog mess that I could see. Lovely place to have a picnic on a hot day. Lots of car parking
Bedford park is one of my favourite parks in bedford. It's spacious, has a lot of greenery, tennis courts, football pitches, well maintained lawns and loads of benches. It's kept very clean and is child and pet friendly. There is also a public swimming complex that includes diving boards, lessons, and a gym. It has VERY limited access to toilets, only 1 paid one and of its faulty, it can be hell finding somewhere else to go number 2.
Great park. Loads of space to play, football, rounders etc. Lake, fantastic kids play area, free parking on adjacent road. Old Pavilion cafe/restaurant with in and outside searing. Dog friendly. Indoor pool next to park. Tennis courts. A great morning or afternoon out. Ice cream can at entrance
Went to see the snow and had a lovely coffee and scone at the coffee shop.

Play park at top end of park, oppisite end to swimming pool. Is a lovely area, now it has been redone. Great mix of equipment for good age range.
Bedford Park is a great place for all the family. Not far from the town centre sits this beautiful park with everything you could need. There are two play parks, one of which has a sandy area for the little ones. The one on Foster Hill Road has a mini trampoline. Both have all of the usual play equipment like swings and things to climb on. Next to the larger play park is a lovely pond with a fountain and a few ducks, swans and fish bobbing about. Take a walk to the middle of the park and you will find the lovely bandstand sitting between the tennis/basketball courts and the cafe. Throughout the park there are lots of bins and benches. Next to the pond is a toilet cubicle that costs 20p to use. Making this a great picnic spot for all the family! The open spaces and surrounding trees make it a great safe space for dogs to be let off the lead. It also has proper pathways which means bike riding is a breeze! The back of park runs along Foster Hill Road Cemetery. There are a few footpaths leading out of the park, one of which goes right into the Cemetery. There are also bus stops that run along the front of the park. Most of the buses are going to and from Goldington and Putnoe. There is parking all along Park Avenue and a small carpark on Foster Hill Road. All of which can get busy on a sunny day.
What an utterly beautiful place, lovely walks, fun for all the family everything you could want from bowls club, tennis courts, bike lanes, kids play parks, band stand, open fields to play on, dog walk, cafes selling yummy food, ducks to feed,to picnic areas. It very clean very well kept, good access for Prams and wheelchair users, there’s plenty of free parking all round the park but you do have to look for them, I’m sure in the summer it might be a bit of a problem. A definite must see, I will be going back and would highly recommend it.
