Hard to find a car park here. Overrated bar. Probably great for sport lovers but generic pub/bar for those who don't. Meals come in large portions which also reflect by the prices. Beers from Speight's do echo its Southern root. Recommended once for all but will probably not be my regular joint.

They do awesome pub food and great drinks. They also do an awesome quiz night on a Monday which usually has a big turn out. The staff there are great very friendly and always trying to do their best even when they are flat out busy.

Had to eat here 3 times as part of a tour group. Initially liked the idea of a well-stocked pub menu but the 'looks could kill' and patronising comments from the waitresses were endless. Such a shame, as this was not representative of other service experienced throughout NZ. Would avoid and choose someone friendlier.

Great place for drinks and light meals/snacks (and pub quiz!) But in all honesty, I felt the main meals should be alot more generous for their prices. It's pub food; and a 250g steak with salad and fries should not cost $40!
Nice outdoor area for summer too!
