Absolutely Wonderful Stay!nnWe had such a beautiful and welcoming stay at Barwon Holiday Park! The park had such a peaceful vibe, and everything was kept so clean and tidy, with plenty of rubbish bins around and a great range of cabins and camp sites to suit every budget.nnWe stayed in a modern Superior 3-Bedroom Unit right by the pool, and it was absolutely immaculate. The beautiful ladies at the front desk were so friendly, helpful, and accommodating — they really made us feel at home!nnThere was sooo much for the kids to do, with three pools to choose from — one heated, and the other two cooler, including a shaded toddler pool which was perfect for the little ones. There’s also a dinosaur playground and basketball court to keep everyone entertained.nnThe staff were amazing — they didn’t bombard you, just quietly went about their duties, keeping everything running smoothly. Having parking right outside our door was also super convenient.nnWe would happily stay here again and highly recommend Barwon Holiday Park to anyone looking for a clean, family-friendly, and relaxing getaway!
We recently stayed here with a group of Year 10/11 students and couldn’t fault the experience. The location is incredibly convenient, just minutes from town and directly across from key shops, with beautiful river views as a bonus. Our poolside cabins were spotless and very well maintained, which made supervising a large group much easier. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. A fantastic option for school groups or families — cannot wait to return next year!
Barwon River Caravan Park 10/11/25 3 daysnRoom excellence ,only issue was heater That night we called office ,no reply so chose , urgent number as it was not very warm in cabin to explained situation , was told some one would come to checknAnswered door to a gruff person who was total annoyed and had a heater under his armn“It’s working “ was his words as the came in ,no hello ladies what wrongnMade you feel awkward, we explained re the heater that there Was no info on how to work it etc wouldn’t listen shoved heater on floor and said if still not happy I will fill room with heaters if you won’t , so rudenAfter he left we got up on the couch and checked the heater and the filters were cloggednNext morning dropped into office to-asked if it could be cleanednSame man came out his office arms flaying saying we could have a new room more heaters forget the air con ,we didn’t ask for any off that , just clean filters. Lots more conversation went on I left feeling an idiot embarrassed etc ,nReturned that late afternoon to another heater in the room ,nwe sort of laughed it offnDecided to check air con ,and they had cleaned them ,shoved two heaters in spare roomnturned on air con and it worked beautifullynNever again ,the man I won’t say his name was the manager who needs to listen,and not be so rude , and needs a good lesson on manners
This park is so pretty and so well looked after. Our cabin was beautiful and clean. Could do with some oven trays to cook in ovennThe reception staff were so friendly.nThe grounds men were friendly and very quick at attending to a pool pump issue.nWould highly recommend this park to sit and relax and stay a while.
Great value for money! We had an ensuite powered site - the ensuite was very clean, the site was shaded with plenty of space between caravans. We've stayed in other caravan parks in Geelong previously, but we enjoyed this park the most. This will be our go to caravan park whenever we're in Geelong.
