Reasonable place to stay. Cabins were good although not a lot of storage space for bags if you have six people in there. Quite noisy in the surrounding street with late night hoons going past. Walls of cabin are paper thin. Good playground equipment and basketball courts along with carts for hire. Supportive staff at reception and around the grounds. Close to shops, restaurants and coffee places. Only recommendation would be to reinforce the speed of cars who weren't driving through at walking pace.
Perfect place to stay in Geelong, walking distance to supermarket, Kmart and takeaway food. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, cabins are clean. Would highly recommend this park for family getaways to personal or business trips. Thank you, we will be back to stay.
The good: communal showers and toilets are kept relatively clean as with communal kitchen.nThe bad: Be told in a rude manner Don No noise allowed while in pool even thought there is no rule in rule list to indicate this. Bad experience for kids especially on a 39 degree day.nThe tent area is right next to highway. You can hear every car, foot path is 3 metres away from tent area and is bright due to road lights.nnDoubt we will ever go back.
I had a lovely experience with the two ladies at reception. They were welcoming and very nice. My encounter however with Don at reception left me really angry and disappointed. He accused our kids of doing something that they had not done, one of which has a disability. I asked all the kids in front of Don to please point out which child he was referring to so we as parents could deal with it. Don was shocked and became angry that I had asked them with him present. His reply to me was to forget about it and that he had already sorted it. Sorted it with who is my question?? As a parent who has faced many unpleasant experiences and discrimination especially because of having a special needs child, I wanted to clarify the situation with him and he refused. The kids were shocked at his accusations as it was the first time they were meeting him. I found this encounter to be very disappointing and traumatic for the kids as clearly he was targeting defenceless children because of their race. It was a clear form of discrimination and racism. It was a very unpleasant experience been watched constantly monitored by Don and another worker driving up and down in their golf buggy. Will never stay at this caravan park ever again. It’s a shame he has to ruin the reputation of all the other nice people that work there.
Been to many caravan parks and never had any issues, so if I could rate this zero stars I would, wanna be Santa is very DISRESPECTFUL, RUDE & RACIST. You’ve got anger issues get help. Worst place I’ve ever stayed at, kids don’t want to go back either Santa is scary you advertise it to be a fun park kid friendly. I will never return or refer anyone to stay here ever again. No heating in the kitchen/meals area, No fire pits, No charcoal BBQ’s, no music & also have a curfew in place all week including weekends, your rules are ridiculous, what would be the point of going away spending $400.00 if your just going to go there park your van and stay inside??? Better off staying home. Don’t waste your hard earned money there’s obviously a lot of people permanently living here so it’s more of a retirement village. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED
