I have been attending Bardon Family Doctors, in particular, Dr Don, for 6 years now. Dr Don is extremely friendly, personable, reliable and caring. I feel that I am able to speak with Dr Don about any type of health concern, and it will be met with understanding, thorough knowledge and compassion. I cannot recommend this practice enough to all people. The staff are all very attentive, and will always do their best to ensure that you receive timely and appropriate care.
The doctor definitely won't listen to you. No matter how many times I said how urgent the genetic test was he still managed to fill out the form completely wrong. Even after I told him about three times are you sure that's correct because I knew it wasn't. Will never be going back.
Typical bulk billing clinic just wanting to make money from your multiple visits. Saw Dr Bandu today and he only gave me a months worth of my regular prescription when I normally get 9 months worth! Never had this advised to me with a new clinic before. Also he wouldn’t prescribe me my HIV prevention medication PrEP because of the strength of the medication even though I’ve been on it for 2 years. Again, never had this issue before with any other GP. I didn’t even bother to fight this one. I have other health concerns, again, couldn’t be bothered to fight for. Not worth your time here. Sad to see how corrupt the GP services are in Australia now. Worth spending $40 out of pocket seeing a privately billed doctor these days. Won’t be coming back here.
Any service that has only one star and 5 star reviews you can guarantee the five stars are fake. So many copied responses. The doctors here tried everything they could to push drugs on me without even asking what I was currently taking. As a doctor myself I was absolutely disgusted at the level of care.
The reception staff is lovely but this is all I can say about the clinic. Had to wait for 2! hours to be seen several times, although had booked appointments - it was huge waste of time, the doctor always runs late. Also have concerns with his scripts, e.g. he prescribed melatonin which can't be dispensed at normal pharmacy because it was too strong and it was my first time being prescribed this medication!. Several times tried to book telephone consultation but doctor did not even ring me twice, and on one occasion rang me late afternoon when actual phone consult appointment was early morning. Dr Don also did not want to release to me the letter from my hospital appointmen, as he said that he can do what he wants with the letter as it is HIS private correspondence - what a joke to say about the letter from my specialist appointment! Stay clear - you will save your time and also money not filling inaccurate scripts.
The team here are great, I can usually get an appointment a day before or even the day off. I see dr Bandula and he is always attentive and helpful. He is invested in helping me in any way. Can recommend him to anyone. They also bulk bill!
Fake reviews galore! It's amazing how many people have been going to this doctor for exactly "5 years" and how many people have had the "exact same experience." Spot the doctor's surgery that pays for fake reviews. Also the doctors are terrible and will try to push benzodiazepines on you without even looking at your history. I don't want or need benzodiazepines no matter how many times you try and push it on me. Definitely won't be back.
Took my son here as he came off his scooter. We went for a dr's appointment at 9.30am on Tuesday morning, then onto have an x-ray. We were told by the dr he would call us. It's now closure time and still nothing! I phoned the drs this afternoon and was told I'd be called from 2.10pm today with results. The surgery is now closed. Still waiting!
I HAD THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL PAP SMEAR OF MY LIFE HERE, the doctor was sleazy and I have never received such a Pap smear in my life. The doctor placed his hands where he shouldn’t have, I left feeling violated and broken.
Have had to follow up numerous times for a work cover medical certificate that I need in order to get paid, keep getting told Dr. Don has been made aware and has all the details and will email it but have now been waiting 10 days. Beyond stressful.
