Story

BangPop recreates the energy and excitement of Bangkok’s hawker stands, presenting authentic and succulent Thai dishes all made with seasonal ingredients sourced locally or straight from Thailand, and courtesy of head chef Charlie Nitmaha.
BangPop also has a great range of delicious drinks to suit all preferences; from quirky cocktails to Coopers Pale Ale on tap.

Love this place! Visited last night and got a spot right on water, the waiters were very attentive and our dinner was some of the best Thai I've ever had! Very authentic and fresh and presented beautifully. We thoroughly enjoyed the pork belly dish and the green curry (chicken), they had plenty of kick and lots of flavour and fresh greens. We enjoyed happy hour white wine only $6 a big glass! Glad we came early when we left the place which is huge was near full with a queue out the front . We'll definitely be back!

Awesome yummy Thai/SE Asian inspired food, we make a point to visit Bangpop whenever we are in Melbourne. Great atmosphere and decor. The staff are always friendly and helpful (they are happy to go above and beyond and even helped us out with a ticket printing issue for a nearby event!) and the service is speedy. Check them out for sure!!

Great space with bikes and Lego forming part of the decor... The items we ordered from the menu were delicious. Drunken prawns not as fiery as expecting, but delicious all the same. Some yummy cocktails with slight Thai twists on classic recipes. Staff were very accommodating to our request to sit outside (river views) and helped us move table when space became available. I will be returning!

The decoration is amazing, love the push bikes around the restaurant. Also, the atmosphere is refined and romantic with all the candles and low lights. I love the place and the food, yummy... everything that I have eaten is amazing. If you love beef ribs I high recommend the Beef Short Ribs in the salad section, omg, I can't express how good it is, the best I believe. Well, I actually have several favourites because I completely love the Beef cheek massaman, the sauce and everything is made with respect and love. I always get the Chicken Ribs for entree because they're the best ones around in the city. I believe that I have been to this restaurant quite a few times and I never get sick of if. Well done guys!!

We stopped for lunch after shopping, we ordered 2 dishes from lunch menu. The fried rice was tasteless and rice was soggy, we only had few bites. The salad dish was average. The tom yum gong was good. I don't think we will come back. Sorry!
