This is not a Medical Service anymore; this is all about making money. When you call up the first question you have to answer is: Do you need a short or a long appointment? Correct answer would be: I don’t know how switched on the Doc is? By the way a short appointment is $80 even for newborns. I saw one Doctor who was quite okay but only works a couple of days a week therefore never there when you need to see her. And I had experiences with another one who loves talking and keeps explaining over and over the same thing and guess what you end up paying a long appointment. On top of all this, the receptionist is exceptionally unfriendly to the patients but lightens up when one of the Doctors approaches her. Overall very very disappointing!!!

I have been going to this practice for a few years now and the wait time vary from 25 mins to over an hour. I tended to ask for morning appointments to avoid a long wait however even a 9.30 appointment is likely to attract a 20+ min wait. They never call you if they are running an hour behind but if you are a few mins late they will call you despite the fact they know they may be running 30 mins behind. I am becoming less convinced that the standard of care is better than a bulk billing practice; the GP tends to send me to specialist most of the time. The standard visit will cost $40+ over the Medicare refund, you will typically wait around 40-60 mins and the level is service is perhaps no better. I completed a form containing my personal details and Reception left it face up on the desk for anyone coming to the counter to see - a complete breach of the privacy act. I think it is time for a change.

Listen doctor listen, I have a voice doctor and I have opinions, I have feelings and I know what I want to tell you about how I feel about my body and mind. I have been your faithful client for many many years, I have grown with you in your business and I have given you respect, consideration even sent others to you for reassurance and assessment. Now however I grieve, I grieve for your lack of empathy, your business like manner and your too busy to really listen attitude. I am sad for the loss of my own faith in some of you too help, to do no harm mentally and emotionally to my sometimes fragile state and that of my family who have followed you for so long. Perhaps it is a symptom of the pressures of today, so I give you my empathy, and you have my attention for I am sure there must be reasons you have turned away, become distracted or changed, perhaps it is me who believes I deserve more for my money and time spent there.
