Very delicious! We ordered 5 dishes for 3 people! Every dishes were amazing! Although we ordered a prawn Pad Thai but we got a pork ? But still vey tasty!  Highly recommend this restaurant!

I agree with some of the other reviews here - easily in my top 3 favorite Thai restaurants of all time. The interior is classy and the food is delicately balanced...definitely not your run of the mill restaurant! The prices are more expensive however, so visit during lunch hour if you can, but I'd say that the quality of the food is reflective of the higher rate you pay even if you visit in peak hour. The only negative thing I have to say is the way some of their online ordering is presented - for example, it's about $13.90 for a Thai Green Curry but $2 extra if you want chicken in it - that just seems a bit sneaky to me personally, but it's nothing major enough to stop me from ordering or coming here often :

We love the service here the waitress remebers to seat us in the back seat we like,  she remembers the wine we like and the extra lemon on the side of our meal. Always appreciate this little attention to detail with customers. Delicious food at great prices its thai with a bit of a modern twist.

We love Bai Tong Thai Tempe. The food is absolutely delicious. The chef designs and cooks the food with love and passion. We are regular at Bai Tong, the food is always excellent and consistent. You must try it as it will blow your mind away. Unlike other typical Thai restaurant, It's is very different and its signature dishes are amazing and very well presented with attention to details. You must try Violet Dumplings, filled with smoked duck and roasted peanuts. It's so delicious!  Thanks Irina & her team. See you soon

Sadly disappointing. Flavorless, dry, no fresh herbs or zing, over rated on all counts. Dry fish you'd have sent back but coz there was little of it and we were starving we ate most of the shriveled mess. Been to Thailand 8x abs many Thai restaurants and this by far was the worst I've ever had. We were charged full price and they finally relented and gave me $20 off as compensation which was better than nothing. Won't return or recommend.

Really bad customer service, and for the curry we ordered,  the portion is much more less than the other authentic Thai restaurants gives cause the other Thai restaurants have right amount of meat in the curry instead of a duck leg and A DUCK BONE. Very disappointed about the staff's bad attitude when we questioned the dish. Will never order from this restaurant again.

This waitress is FILTHY RUDE!! She always is grumpy and complaining and treats the customer like a piece of nothing! The lunch specials are very small stingy servings and more expensive than all other inner west Thai places These guys hate customers Why be in business ???

I am so in love with Bai Tong Thai @ Tempe.  My partner and I have been going since the first night it opened. We try to go at least once a week, but .....  As frequent restaurant diners, we tend to have our favourite places and favourite dishes at these places, as we do with Bai Tong. Stir Fried Chicken Chilli and Basil, Mushroom Satay sticks, Crispy Pork Belly, Red Rice and list goes on. But ..... we always try the Special and they rarely disappoint.  The other thing we love about Bai Tong is the owners. They will also stop and listen to feedback.  The staff are great and been there a along time.  Even though Bai Tong is not in the thick of it all, it is worth the effort to go.
