One of Australia’s best independent bookshops, Avenue Bookstore has been located in the heart of Albert Park Village for over 25 years. It continues to be a favourite local meeting place, as well as a destination store for book lovers across Melbourne and beyond. Tyler Brule, former editor of Wallpaper magazine, described Albert Park as an ideal village with Avenue Bookstore at its heart.

In Spring 2012, a second Avenue Bookstore opened in the heart of Elsternwick, at the former site of Sunflower Books. Located at 434 Glen Huntly Road, the new Elsternwick store continues the Avenue tradition of carefully curated stock and attentive customer service.
