DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. In a strange way I was relieved to find all of the other poor reviews for this business. It wasn’t just us! The owners patterns of behaviour as mentioned in the other reviews was consistent with our experience, hanging up on the phone, accusations of deceit, aggressive manner, yeah it’s fair to say my wife and I had terrible dealings with the owner of this business. After trying to return the product, a refund refusal and months dealing with the Dept of fair trading, we decided it was worth our money and mental health to take this as a lesson (albeit a very expensive one). Now we only buy local and from businesses that have good recommendations.

We have bought three beds, a frame and matching side tables from Dan now over the last 4 years. Dan has always been welcoming and friendly and his products are beautiful. When we were in the shop even our young kids were welcomed by the sales assistant. Thanks for your great product and service.

Update 23.09.16 Hi Dan, My new bed is wonderful, having great nights sleep! I'm loving the lighter colour of the bedhead and side tables. Cheers mate ☺ Fantastic!!! I purchased a full bedroom suite from these guys 10 years ago, consisting of Queen frame, full latex mattress, 2 x side tables, 2 x lamps and 4 x bolsters. Apart from some of the best nights sleep that I've ever had, I've ALWAYS found the service to be of the highest standard. During one house move, I lost the bed head mounting brackets, I dropped in to their showroom and Dan gave me a replacement set no charge, this is not the way a "rude" or "arrogant" person would act. To those people that think that they have been wronged, I would suggest that you may be confusing this shop with one of the competition or the cheap place just down the street. I'm buying another bed and latex mattress from them tomorrow.... Btw, I'm a Territory Account Manager, I know how to get people to keep coming back to me for their needs, just as these guys do. Insane! After an animated discussion on delivery, owner refused to leave my house after being told he had outlasted his welcome. His employee also refused to leave my home on account of "he works for Dan"! Would I have had the time I could probably have laid charges against both of them for home invasion! He insulted me in my own house, lied to my wife...never seen this before! It was almost comical! Obviously not likely to have anything to do with this pretentious, arrogant type anytime soon...The beds are okay...finishes not up to scratch and put together crudely with a couple of screws upon delivery. Thanks for the laughs though! Edit: for any illustration on the guy's lack of professionalism, read the owner's response. Or save yourself the time, don't. In it there are boasts of "confidence acquired in martial art" (!) and public disclosure of a veteran's medical condition (on a furniture review website!). I will refrain from publicly commenting on events that are nobody's business, but I certainly hope that the pathetic display of self aggrandizement will speak volume about that tosser's attitude. I tend to be wary of people who boast of their height, weight, rugby and martial art skills on furniture review websites...It seems a little weird! Especially when coming from a business owner responding to a review (which objectively should not even happen). And if that's not enough, one can just look at the fact that the guy has upvoted his own business twice...pretty sure it doesn't work that way! Mate, you're insane!

Dear Lou, you've been extremely loose with the truth! You've waited nearly a year to write? The two bed frames and futon mattresses had a balance to be paid upon delivery and assembly to Paddington address. Upon doing so you phoned your at work wife to settle balance with credit card over the phone, after several failed attempts and waiting some time while she contacted bank, I was given a story of a problem preventing payment? As it was a significant outstanding balance, I informed you and your wife that I would be removing the products, and would return again upon payment, as is my right. Your French emotional intensity came to the fore. I had not left the house (upon which I relinquish control of my unpaid for products) You aggressively blocked reentry into the bedrooms for us to disassemble. My assistant felt threatened, left the house and locked himself in the van, the keys being in my pocket he could not leave the property, you perceived his fear and focused on him, beating the van and shouting, for some time. I was speaking with your wife on her mobile, she informed me of you suffering Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I took this into account while waiting for her local living, she'd called, mother to arrive. Upon returning upstairs you were extremely physically threatening to me, and constantly threatening to call the police, which I invited you to. I wonder why you didn't? My intent was purely to protect my interest, in an extremely unbalanced situation, not to worsen yours. I suspect, why your many threats of physical harm to me, were not acted on, may have had a bit to do with my being, 6'2' 100kg with a little confidence gained from years of rugby and martial arts???? Your wifes mother arrived, you quickly obliged her banishment to the back deck. She apologised profusely, again stated you suffer PTSD. Used her card for payment. Matter settled. In a final act of bravado, as I got into van you ran down stairs, and started like a scratched record again???????? In nearly twenty years of handcrafting made to order solid wood furniture I've never experienced such behaviour. And you know it's not true what you've written about the products.
