I would not recommend this op shop to anyone. Went in there today, they had big signs plastered all around stating ‘50% off store wide, excluding sunglasses’. Fair enough. Ended up with a pile of kids clothing and went to the front counter. I asked the volunteer Helen, how much I would owe for my purchase considering it’s 50% off. She then snapped at me, leaned forward and went ‘NO!, I will not give you items for free!’, I was confused and asked again how much they would be with half off. She then said her manager would have a go at her if she gave anyone a 50% discount and snatched my items off the counter, stormed off and threw them back in the kids clothing area. As she was doing this she was loudly stating to her two other coworkers about how rude I was and how I expected her to practically ‘give away’ the items I had chosen all I wanted was to receive the advertised discount. I then took pictures of the signs to be able to contact her manager and she stating loudly remarking to all the volunteers and customers in the store about how I was rude and entitled and didn’t know how to read. Another customer told her to stop and calm down, to which she replied ‘I’ve done nothing wrong!! Your just defending her because you want THAT discount’. In summary, do not buy from this store. No one has the right to abuse anyone like that.
