Generally good customer service but a lot of staff turnover and shortages. I previously lived in Port Melbourne and the post office there was open on Saturday mornings and also provided the opportunity to pick items up from a hatch on the side before the post office opened - wish this post office did the same because it would be a lot more convenient.  They also sometimes close a little earlier than 5pm which is supposed to be the closing time.

I arrived at 4:55 today and they were closed sign says they close at 5pm. I knocked on the window, and the shop person saw me and signalled they were closed. When I said ‘it’s not 5 yet’, he simply responded ‘I know’. Zero shame, zero pride in their jobs and zero regard for the community.

My parcel has been dropped off 3 days ago in this location still showing tracking number albert park scanned into system, not happy 3 days is the estimated time to receive the normal post not too keep the item. So please send the parcels next day why keeping the item for 3 days in the shop. No happy. This is the second time that happens.

I’ve been to a lot of post offices in my time but Albert Park Post Office staff are SO rude. Absolutely no concept of customer service or kindness. Rude rude rude. Go up the street to Port Melbourne Post Office instead-the staff are much friendlier and kind.

I like this post office, the staff are always friendly and helpful. HOWEVER. They need to either get with the times and be more customer centric by opening Saturday morning or stop accepting undelivered parcels! You literally have to take time off work to pick up which defeats the convenience of online shopping.

weared a facemask due to the pandemic to pick up my parcel in this post office, Manager Leeanne told me there is no parcel under my surname, with her classic sarcastic smile. I said parcel has arrived, I might used abbreviations on my name? she said I cant use abbreviations, so the parcel will be returned. So there is a parcel under my name?Later I found out I actually used my proper full name, and gave her a proper ID card, but she first lied to me there was no parcel under my surname, then told me parcel will be returned, with her classic sarcastic smile and enjoy watching me get stressed? Is it really that kind funny to have customer stressed and watch them suffering? OR there is discrimination going on here? I am still stitting in anger without my parcel.

Please educate your staff, this is my first time ever heard small letter only up to 50g? Are you kidding me? It might be error on the printing at the back of the stamps booklet says up to 250g, others auspost told me 125g for small letter i can still accept. Everytime i went to this post office most of the staff are in bad mood or whatsoever.  Overall bad customer service ever.

Usually very friendly and helpful staff but the last three times I’ve come to drop something off during normal hours they’ve been closed due to staff shortages… so I go elsewhere now.

Refused to give me my money back, for passport photos which they took badly without enough light in the room so they were rejected when I tried to use it to get a passport. Very pricey to get passport photos taken there too
