We went there to get our passports renewed. The man behind the counter smirked and said they didn't have any appointments available that day. We were the only ones present. His next appointment was in 15 minutes, and he would know from experience that our work required 5 to 10 minutes max. He refused to even look at our paperwork. He suggested we go to Malvern and Glen Waverly, both of which are a decent 20 minute drive away. Went to Forest Hills instead and they had an extremely quick, helpful and friendly service, with no appointment required. Not going back to Burwood! We have just been told that the CEO of Australia post get $5.6 million dollars salary and bonuses each year. Wouldn't you think he could spare some time to weed out these unfriendly staff members, who are losing customers by the droves? What a shame for the other members of Burwood, who are generally helpful, it must affect their morale and performance.

Like watching an episode of Keystone Cops at this Post Office. I've resorted to having everything sent by courier with the extra expense. The drivers don't deliver and always leave a slip even when you don't need to sign. The people in the store just smile nicely and say they can't help you. The Ashburton PO is so much better. I wish I could have my post redirected to there!

I had an item sent there and fortunately a postage tracking number was able to confirm this. However, the Australia Post staff insisted that they had not received my item. I made four trips to enquire about the whereabouts of my item until finally one 'switched on' clerk replied, "Oh, here it is. Why did they put it there?"
