Unfortunately Aust Post has become notorious for bad customer service but my recent experience at Caboolture made me happy. Picture this: it's Saturday morning and staff are run off their feet with a queue out the door. A baby is bawling for its passport photo, and staff are juggling all sorts of tasks. I spoke to three staff members and all were still helpful and gave me the time of the day. As a previous front line worker myself I know that this is a very hard situation and I want them all to know that I thought they were all doing an awesome job under extreme pressure. I must add that the other local shop was closed because staff weren't available!
The staff were unprofessional and unhelpful. The staff member assisting me turned to her colleague and spoke about me in the third person without acknowledging me directly. No constructive guidance was provided regarding my passport application; instead, I was told, “Oh well, we’ll just send it—might not get approved.”nOne staff member in particular was especially rude and raised her voice at me from behind shelving near the printer rather than addressing me directly at the counter. The overall tone was passive-aggressive and made the experience very uncomfortable. If staff are unhappy in their roles, it certainly showed. I would strongly advise avoiding this post office.
Every time I come here, I feel amazing.nRachael arranged the return for me this time. She sensed my concerns and even took the initiative to spend extra time choosing a cheaper option for me. The scene was very busy, but I could still feel her dedication and patience, which made me feel like I was in my own country. Thank you.
Unfortunately this is my local post office and every single time I have to go in staff have been nothing but rude and passive aggressive. Can’t even greet you or treat you like a human being. Feels like they belittle you and get mad if you haven’t worked for aus post for 15+ years and don’t know processes, etc. Absolutely disgusting behaviour, would rather drive further than go here. Do better.
Shout out to Jestina who has amazing customer service and the most welcoming personality. SO polite, respectful and endearing, Jestina is a gem and we love her service
