We put our van in for a new fridge, new HWS, cafe dinette & washing machine in 2013/14. Been busy travelling to make any comments. We had a 190lt coolmatic/waeco compressor fridge. When we it died & we went to aussie escape for a new one we were advised that they didn't make that size anymore & had a choice of 160 or 220. Didn't want to go smaller so had to have cupboard renovations done to fit the 220. I regret just taking Andrews word & not researching as later down the track realised they do still make a 190lt. It also turns out that this is actually a domestic fridge that dometic experimented with by turning it into a 12v fridge - hence the glass shelving (in an off road van?) & only glue on child safety latches. We asked for the Truma HWS to be replaced with a suburban as they had a much better reputation. Andrew advised that the Truma was a lot better now & also the suburban wouldn't fit where the Truma was situated. Again, should have done our own research instead of taking the word of someone who should know what he is talking about. The first one started leaking pretty much straight away, so it was replaced under warranty. The second one was then leaking water on the outside of the van to the point of leaving a rust mark on the van. Andrew advised that that was normal even though we knew it wasn't. So we started our journey south. Twice we had it "looked" at on our travels south & both times told it was normal. We eventually took it to dometic at Melbourne who pulled it out & agreed it needed to be replaced. Dometic wiped our warranty as Andrew didn't install according to Dometic instructions. Andrew wiped us, saying that is how he always installs them so not his fault. So we had to pay for a new hws. In a matter of 3 mths we blew 3 elements. Became fed up with the tooing & froing with Dometic & the blame game so we had a van repairer replace the Truma with a suburban which fitted in the exact same spot as the Truma - bugger me. We also had our L shaped lounge replaced with a cafe dinette. We provided photos & measurements of the dinette we wanted. Well Andrew eventually got that nearly right after a couple of goes. But due to their incompetence there wasn't anything that could be done about the table being too high. We also pointed out that the leg on the table was going to come loose on the first corrugated road we went on & yes that was the case even though Andrew disagreed. The washing machine was installed without issue but glad I researched & found I could get the exact same machine approx $200 cheaper through appliances online including delivery compared to Andrews quote buying through camec.

A small family business, with competitive prices. Very happy with my new tow bar, extendef mirrors, electric brake controller and weight distributor. I'm new to caravaning and recently needed a tow bar to pull my just purchased, medium size caravan. I went to the well known brands like TJM for quotes. Aussie Escape had a quality product for hundreds less. However, like the big brands, they didn't give me they benefit of their expertise to identify almost $1000 worth of essentials I needed. It took several phone calls to work out my requirements. So Aussie Escape, for that extra star just remember to ask the customer about their "project", might be a lot more to it than you think!
