Story

Part of the Thomas Hotel Group, the Aurora Hotel is a vibrant, warm and welcoming venue that appeals to local residents, workers, professionals, commuters and party crowds. The hotel has capability to hold functions large and small, plus regular sporting coverage, has contributed to the Aurora’s growing popularity.

The Rooftop Beer Garden is open Thursday and Friday from 12pm and for private functions, with views overlooking the iconic clock of Central and Sydney's centrepoint tower.

Kippax Cocktail Lounge offers a restaurant that is open Monday to Friday for lunch from 12pm, and Monday to Saturday for dinner from 5pm. The menu has a modern Australian theme featuring steaks, specialty curries, pastas and pizzas.

The Sports Bar, located off Kippax Street, has four huge plasma screens with every kind of sport available 24hrs a day. Also located in the Sports bar is a TAB with two self betting terminals and 28 televisions with up to date market information.

Second time here and still enjoyed my vist. Again with a friend who lives in the area. So staff are familiar with my friend. Good clean hotel. Helpful staff with covid sign in.

Great place for after work drinks, nice big outdoor space up top for everyone to enjoy. Got lots of options for places to sit inside and outside and good house wines and beers on tap

It can be hard to get a read on this place. From the outside it has a leagues club vibe, but the different levels inside offer a variety of atmospheres. At least it's big enough to be an uncrowded local spot for an easy beer and a chat. Just don't expect Surry chic or a crafty drinks selection, and you'll be welcomed with open arms.

This is the pub you picture when your dad tells you stories of all the good times he had in his 20’s. It’s a melancholy joint that makes you yearn for more. Notorious for good times & Beers.
