Awesome place, friendly knowledgeable staff, seem to really want to help families.
What a beautiful cemetery with an especially lovely Rose Garden by the cottage. Lovely serene environment and well tended grounds.
Caring office administrators, when looking to purchase a plot they gave all information needed without any pressure to purchase. lovely peaceful park for a final resting place.
It's an okay place, peaceful enough, starting to get established. Maybe once they have a cafe and a kids playground it might get more of a vibe going, but it feels very contrived still. It's a nice enough place to visit, but I wouldn't want to spend eternity there.
Auckland Memorial Park is located on 17 hectares 35 acres in Silverdale – kilometres north of the Harbour Bridge. Set in a natural amphitheatre looking north-east towards the Hauraki Gulf, it occupies a spot of tranquillity and natural beauty. This natural beauty has been enhanced by a multi-million dollar programme of landscaping. A series of terraces sweeps up the enclosing hillsides, ensuring that every burial plot enjoys a peaceful aspect of surrounding countryside, or is situated close to the water gardens.
Beautiful cemetery. Well kept and peaceful.
Hi Dale Oxenham. I'm sorry you share your disappointment in your review, the 'Dog Toilet' comment I guess is driven by the droppings of our at this time of year resident Canadian Geese family. They spend spring and summer here, first laying eggs, then raising the chicks to young adults. This year we had 8 goslings raised by 4 adults, and their waste production is pretty impressive by any standards!. We are very pleased that they have chosen our Memorial Park as their nesting site, and while we spend considerable time and effort to stay on top of the droppings, we can not do so every day. The fact that we are seen by these wild birds as a sanctuary for raising their young families is an honour droppings aside. We have Pukeko's, Ducks, Paradise Ducks, and these Canadian Geese. A lot of our families and visitors find their presence very calming, and we have no intention of chasing them away. Kind Regards Graeme Cummins, General Manager
