I have many family members lay to rest here and have found throughout the years it's always remains litter free. Such a peaceful resting place love how there is nature all around the cemetery.

Great large cemetery full of local history and wonderful garden's.

Fascinating place huge cemetery some of my family buried here you can get lost finding the plots if you haven't been there before even if you have been there like me can get confused which way to go so mark a bearing somehow to remember.

Waikumete Cemetery is fascinating place to explore and discover the history of Auckland.  The paths and roads are kept in good condition. You can catch the train to Glen Eden and breath in the history and enjoy the views over Auckland City and the Waitekere Ranges.  Dogs on leash are welcome.
