WHAT TO EXPECT:
A full initial consultation can take anywhere from 15-60 minutes, but is usually about 45-60 minutes. Skin Prick Testing will usually be carried out during this time and you will be asked to wait for approximately 15 minutes between the tests. Sometimes patients choose only a partial allergy consultation to see if only certain allergens are causing a problem, This should be advised at time of making the
appointment and less time would be scheduled accordingly. Additional testing, beyond the 1 hour allocated for an initial consultation, may be required for some patients if extensive testing is required. If delayed hypersensitivity (allergy) is suspected, a Patch Test may be needed. This test is usually read 48 hours and 72 hours after application to the back.
FEES:
The standard fee for an Initial Consultation is $350 and normal policy is for payment to be made at the time of the consultation, unless special arrangements are made prior to this. You will be given a receipt for the visit and this is claimable on your medical insurance if you have specialist cover. The standard fee for a Standard Follow-up Consultation is $100. Long Follow-up Consultation is $150. For moreinformation regarding the fees of the clinic please contact us.
