Stayed here in our van two weeks ago. Fabulous location, very quiet, friendly owner and at the time we stayed immaculately clean facilities. Yes it's old and yes could be spruced up but beats the sterile 'group' parks hands down.
As a permanent resident I am pleased to say that the new people cleaning the amenities...nThank you...nI don't have to go have to hope the fence anymore to use the public toilet..nWell done ladies
We were encouraged to stay at Arno Bay SA by a fella we met at Streaky Bay who had fond memories of family holidays when growing up. No doubt it seems this place has seen it's hay days and it is looking a little tired in spots. That doesn't matter, my initial impression of this place has changed and I'm now glad we came here.nThe tourist park offers a number of positives, there is the pub right across the road, a cafe adjacent and for the fishing enthusiast the jetty is right there at the corner of the park and offers great fishing.nThe beach is white sand contrasting beautifully with the turquoise water and it squeaks beneath your feet. Just adjacent to the park there is a board walk which takes you through the mangrove swamp and estuary which is just stunning and wheelchair accessible. It seems the locals love their little corner and have rolled sleeves up when required as there are various shelters , toilets and BBQ facilities provided by them along the way with the help of a few investors.nAll in all, definitely worth a stop in for a few days.
Disgusting, unclean, unkempt Park. Laundry is appalling and machines don't work. Owner is never there. Such a shame as its a great town and lots to offer but the park is not a drawcard.
We loved this caravan park. Had a home feel , Steve was accommodating and helpful. Will definitely come back for a longer stay next time. Thanks guys. See you soon
