Apex Milk Bar formerly Apex Fish n Snack Bar has been operating since 1960 in the same location.

After a revival in October 2014, under new management, this long serving Cairns Diner has risen from the ashes to serve locals excellent burgers, fish & chips, salads, cold drinks and so much more...

I swear this place is Cairns best kept secret squirrel burger spot!!! The number is wrong on google, it’s actually 07 40 310 263  We had the double beef and bacon and it seriously blew my mind. Home made patty, and a literal stack of bacon, making the burger as a whole the size of a small horse. Finally, a burger in this city that doesn’t force you to take out a second mortgage. And as an added bonus, there’s an arcade for the big kids. 100% recommend!!!

Food was delicious, milkshakes were delicious! Enjoyed a few games of air hockey while we waited for the food. Friendly staff!

this burger combo the other day was insane. huge, massive, seriously too good not to eat it all. even if i did have to use a knife and fork & the chips cooked perfectly

We love the chips here.  The kids love the free entertainment while they wait for their food.  A great place to visit.  Kid-friendliness: Easy place to take the kids. We have five.

Seriously delicious food cooked fresh with real ingredients! The mural on the back wall is absolutely epic. Situated right next to Trinity Bay High school it gets a decent amount of traffic. I was there at 12pm and there was plenty of seating inside out of the heat.

Good vibes and staff!! He was really friendly!! And I like patty of here!! Nice much with cheese!! I went there for my dinner, bug they have lunch special for 10$!! Which is good deal!! I would love to comeback here!!

Juicy and yummy burger with good service! Had a great and terrifying time devouring the Apex King. Not really walking distance from the CBD, but it’s worth the 9mins drive for the burgers.

A small restaurant that has a unique culture/feel to it. From the art on the walls to the contents of the menu, the whole place feels fun. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was seriously amazing. Awesome burgers and milkshakes!

Great burgers for a pretty good price. They have some live music on occasion see their Facebook page.

The photos need updating! new owners need access to this website to change open times/days! I suggest calling before making a drive, not to mention food has gone down hill since new owners have taken over prices are way up there for the product fish was very oily and not clean fresh tasting the chips was undercooked and burgers not that great anymoredripping with fat/oil left me feeling very blah in the guts to be honest, staff was friendly but making phone order was suggested I use uber eats to order  probably won't go back the place is kinda run down/dirty looking and not that I needed it but theres no wheelchair access into the shop they mainly service the school kids so I doubt anything will change.
