You'll almost always find people for company in Aotea Square. One of the best settings for open gatherings.

Had a great vibe with hammock chairs & beanbags set up under a huge gazebo. Nice place to hang out.
There seems to be something on there all the time. When I was there it was America's Cup and they had themed concerts there, a huge place with bean bags to just sit and enjoy.
Had nice night out with my kids there parking was cheap $4 on a Sat evening had bean bags to sit on moon was out scooters were fun
Great open air entertainment area, watch the current America's Cup away from the masses.
Quiet Auckland City not in good shape... Council needs to consider giving it some atmosphere, live bands, singers clowns....
