Staff are not trained to close accounts and their system does not update as quickly as the mobile app/internet banking. The ANZ does not provide an acceptable level of assistance over the phone - I had a 1 minute interaction with someone who didn't say any greeting when they answered the phone, then transferred me elsewhere. I then spent over an hour on hold before giving up. They charge the customer monthly for having an account when other banks pay the customer interest on the balance of the same type of account. Their interest rates are significantly higher than other banks. Their behaviour towards young people is predatory- regularly sending young customers pre approval for credit cards and inviting them to take out personal loans.
For 5th time I have wasted my time for more than 30 minutes standing up in front of the counter and waiting for someone to approach me and telling me that I only can book you to come back next week as we don’t have any one to answer your questions. For a breach with 20 workstation only 3 apparently were working no customer with them and 5 customers were waiting for them to assist them for their banking issues. Very very very disappointing for anyone.

Hopeless! The staff here always seem to be in endless discussions with each other, ignoring customers some who are sitting on the floor because they have been waiting so long for the one teller. Worst branch ever.
Have to wait a clear atleast 30 minutes to get served 3 times in a week. Small businesses like us if spend 2 hours for banking every week, then it's better to move to another bank where they have business deposits counter.
I've mentioned on 2 occasions I have a heart issue & I need a pen so I could sit down & fill in the deposit slip. Both times there was no pens on the table. On my 2nd visit I sat down at an empty desk on the customer side because the table was full. A extremely rude older Indian looking woman who worked there asked me if I needed anything & I said no thanks I'm just filling in this deposit form, she told me to move because there could be paying customers to serve & I am a customer of ANZ!!! To top off my bad experience at this ANZ branch there was only 1 teller open & there was a long wait. I now have to fill in my deposit slips at home because they won't put pens on the table & they won't let me sit down for 5mins at an empty desk to fill in a deposit slip when the table there is full. Horrible horrible horrible customer service!!!! The Joondalup ANZ branch NEEDS to be restructured ASAP!!!
Waited for over 40 mins :/ Busy branch with not enough seating. The area we sat in had low quality ottoman style seating that was sticky, lots of staff however not much seems to be happening quickly. Like I said I watched for 40 mins and was not impressed at all... Went in for a simple cash deposit only.
Shocking Service, line out the door. Plus they do not allow you to put a name on your deposits to account holders here only phone numbers. All other banks allow transaction details. If I did not need to deal with them I would not.
Parking is limited near by but the staff are very helpful and friendly whenever I've had dealings with them. Minimal waiting times too, always a plus in banks.
