I’m extremely unhappy and disappointed with my experience with Anytime Fitness Capalaba: In October 2017, I bought a Groupon to try out AF Capalaba, which comprised a 60-Day Unlimited Gym Access with 30-Minute PT Session but not needing one, I decided not to do the PT Session. At the end of December, I was leaving for Europe for a month. I called Ryan to let him know that I could not give back my door pass when my groupon was due to finish on 14 Jan 2018 while still in Europe. I left a voicemail asking: What Should I do? Should I leave my pass to a neighbor for him to deliver it to them? I let them my phone number. They never called me back. Returning from Europe, this is January, remember? And with two teenagers back to school, it’s a bit hectic and I kind of forgot about it. In February, I finally manage to find the time to get there. I met an elderly lady who tells me that it is a bit too late for them to accept the pass, that they are planning to have new potential customers sign a new agreement stating when those passes should be taken back before a certain delay, arguing that Ryan must have told me about it (he did not), that he must have called to let me know what to do with the pass (he did not). We ended up the conversation agreeing that Ryan would call me back so we can establish what had been said (and not said) and find a solution on the basis of the information given. They did not call me back. What I am unhappy about is I was correct with them, and I feel they were not. They let me with a useless 50$ blank pass and a bitter taste in my mouth about this experience, and Anytime Fitness Capalaba in particular.

Extremely rude manager. Received a free trial membership which he cancelled my membership without informing me, then blamed the woman owner (who was actually really lovely).

Tried to cancel membership. Staff incredibly rude for no reason. Was willing to freeze or discuss but they just dismissed me and told me to email them.

We did a paid trial at this gym and were told by one of the staff that we would receive our deposits back after returning the access cards. However when we went there to return the cards management had changed and refused to give back our deposits, even falsely pointing out a part in the contract to prove their point. Just a small issue but shows just how untrustworthy and shady the new management is. Luckily we did not sign a long term contract here which could have potentially caused a lot of headache and problems down the road.
