My Brakes FAILED after servicing here!nnI left my car here for my logbook 90k service.nnThe only complaint I raised in my car while I left for service was the squeaky noise that I got while braking at slow speeds. They checked the car, called me mid day and said the brake pads need to be changed on the rear. I showed the front wheel when I said the squeaky noise but they changed the pads on rear. Anyways, I thought they know better.nnIt was time for me to pick up the car, they showed me where the car is, and as I pick up, the car wouldn't start. They'd drained my battery and had to jump start it and asked me to continue driving for 30 minutes to recharge when my office is just around 2 minutes from this service centre. But this is not the reason for my one star review. Buckle up.nnI drive my car around for a couple of days, but the brake pedal just did not feel good. I have been driving since 2005, so I know a thing or two about braking, and it just didn't feel good. There was a bit of kick back at times as if you'd get when ABS kicks in on sand or slippery roads, but this happened on a bone dry asphalt.nnAnd then, I hear noises from left rear. Attached video for reference. And I was on M80, on a 100 zone. I pulled over, thought it was due to unorganized boot but there was literally nothing in the boot. This was on Friday evening, while I was with my 4 year old in the car.nnI called them up, and they said, they can't really tell and asked me to BRING the car in on Monday. As they sounded cool with whatever explanation I gave, I drove back home but the noise was so bad that I was sure something's up. I took it to a local mechanic only to find out thatnnThe BOLT on my Brake Caliper is missing and another is so loose that it fell off on the ground at his first touch. If I drove just a little more, let alone taking it to Service centre on Monday, I am pretty certain that the caliper would have fallen off as a whole.nnAttached the pictures for reference.nnI understand poeple make mistakes, but a grave mistake like this is unacceptable. UNACCEPTABLE!nI took my car on Monday here, to replace the bolts that the local mechanic placed with the company ones and I asked them to reimburse the invoice from local mechanic, which in their defence, they did. But they didn't reimburse my Uber invoice as my second visit to this place is totally unwanted. But they offered to discount the Uber money with my next service. My next service? here? the audacity!nnHaving said all this, I also have to acknowldge that Don W was highly professional with this process and he did own it up. Hence I have nothing against the customer service, but I would say car service is more important.nnAnd.. and.. when I picked up the car from the parking lot the second time, it wouldn't start as they drained my battery AGAIN and they had to jump start it and asked me to drive around for 30 min! They blamed my dashcam being connected to Cigaratte Plug. The only two times I had to jump start my car in the 90K km I have driven is the two times I mentioned in this review.nnNot again Toyota Coburg.nnAnd the squeaky noise still exists.
Came here few times now.. servicing for this time greated very well by the servicing attendee.nWent browsing no new cars all sold cars. If feels empty. Some good Cars not for sale .nCar shortage have been madness in all showrooms. On all models . Hopefully they push harder .
Had an amazing experience with Anthony Mercuri at Coburg Toyota. Even though it was late in the day, Anthony waited for us to arrive and took his time looking after us. He took us through the details of the car that we ended up purchasing and was a good negotiator.
