When we went to this restaurant a year ago, it was a fantastic experience. This time it left us cold. Literally as they couldn't warm up the place on this cold spring evening. Unfortunately everything else was disappointing. From the not so special meals although I enjoyed my duck curry, to the annoying loud and out of place music, to the service which was below par for what should be a reasonably high class restaurant. My partner had been there recently for lunch and felt it was better on that occasion, so a 3 star on the basis that it may be worth a try again at some stage.
In brief, the food was tasty but overpriced. The service was awful. I won't be returning or recommending this place to anyone. There are better restaurants within walking distance Good points: Tasty food. Bad points: - Staff were rude. - Annam made a mistake with our order. - Annam forgot our side dishes, then made three people share one small bowl between us. - Food was overpriced.
Pretty decent range on the menu, including vegan and vegetarian. It can get pretty busy at lunch with a bit of a wait so not always great if you have limited time. There's a variety of seating so good for small and not so small groups. Prices are ok, mid range. Staff are friendly and helpful
Ok place. Good food and reasonably priced. Drink selection ok with a couple of craft beers. Deserts were excellent but the mains, whilst very nice, didn't seem to have much Vietnamese flavours. Seating uncomfortable benches and service a bit slow even though not especially busy. However, for all that I would go again for a good atmosphere and the good food. I'll try some of the other dishes next time.
I was visiting my family in Wellington and we all wanted to get together for a late evening meal ! This restaurant stayed open late to accommodate us ! Not only was the service spot on, but the food was fresh and delicious! The server custom designed my meal for me because I was tired from travel I couldn't decide ! So they whipped up a special plate just for me ! The ambience was warm, however, the food and great service was superb ! Hello from the USA cheers Nikki
We booked a table for 6pm as we had an 8pm concert to attend. By 7:45pm all we had been served was 2 entrees out of the more than 10 dishes we had ordered for the table. We had to leave before any of our food arrived to make our concert. We have had positive experiences here previously but now will never return.
The place was cold... Extremely small portion sizes, the pork belly main was a few pieces of floating sodden sadness in a bowl of dismay. Fresh and flavour are not words to describe. We left hungry after spending more than $80 on two entrees and mains.
We dined at this restaurant a week ago while visiting Wellington. It was recommended but we were very disappointed. The service was extremely off hand and slow - when we advised the wait person that we were ready to order he said he would come back as he had a "few things he had to do first". We had to wait around 1.5 hours for our mains despite the restaurant being only half full. When the mains arrived, the servings were small. The flavor of the fish stew was bland and hardly worth the $34 price tag. Very disappointing as others have enjoyed this restaurant but I will not be going again.
Fresh and delicious only begins to describe the quality of food here, hands down the best main in Wellington yet. Those who say the wait time is poor just don't appreciate the amount of time perfection and quality takes. 10/10 and would recommend
Terrible service. Went there for WOAP, waited for our food for over an hour, no one came and provide an update on how far along our food was. Had to asked 3 times before someone came back and said that it hasn't been made yet! 1 hour to make a burger?? Go across the street to Where's Charlie for your Vietnamese lunch fix, much more efficient! Need to work on your customer service and time management in making your food. Definitely black listed and won't be back again. 1 hour of my life that I will never get back.
