Satay tofu and vegetables is superb. Best tofu takeaway dish I can think of in Wellington. The Pad Thai is also great. Haven’t tried the fish and chips but they look good.
Their fish and chips are awesome I also enjoyed the Laksa. The inside is pretty narrowFood: 5/5
The shop's name has nothing to do with what food they have Grilled chicken was not grilled. Satay prawns were also average taste.Food: 3/5
One of the most authentic Bun Bo Hue I’ve had in Wellington, satisfied the craving :
We stopped by because this place was well rated and well reviewed. Unfortunately, we ended up getting scammed. My wife and I came here because I was hankering for some fish n chips. Surprisingly, it also offered Vietnamese food, which appealed to my wife. After finishing ordering our food at the register, we went to pay with a credit card. After tapping and paying and getting a recipe, we were then told that they did not accept our American Visa credit card, because the restaurant did not have a deal with the credit card banking company. Apparently, this was an issue with American credit cards--which was news to me. This was not relayed before we ordered nor was there any warning posted at the entrance or cashier. You'd think that if this was a problem, they should have notified us first. Plus, no other restaurant in our entire one and a half weeks in New Zealand had any trouble accepting our credit cards. The cashier seemed to be a young guy who probably hadn't worked there that long, but the owner or manager behind him told us that we could pay by cash. We told the we didn't have any, so she said we could go to an ATM around the corner to withdraw cash and pay. All of this sounded way to much of a hassle and kind of strange, so we decided we didn't want our order after all. We asked them to cancel our charge and refund the amount, but they said that the credit card would not charge, repeating their lack of deal with American credit cards. We asked for a receipt or some proof, but they refused, with the manager being kind of rude about it and not apologetic at all. Lo and behold, when we got back, our credit card was charged for the food that we ended up not receiving. So they lied about the credit card thing and took our money to add insult to injury. This is an absolutely ridiculous business practice, and we're in the process of disputing the charge. But the fact that we had to go through all this inconvenience reflects extremely poorly on this restaurant. We would recommend that people steer clear unless they want to play roulette with bad credit card charges.
I used to love Fisherman's Plate so much because of its famous beef noodles which I tried a few years ago. It reminded me of my hometown. However, as time goes by, I think that the food quality has decreased. I had char grilled coal pork with springroll and vemicelli today. It costs 19$ price increased , but to my dissappointment, the pork was actually fried not grill char coal as I expected. That's why it was tough to chew. The fish sauce should be the highlight of the dish but there was too much water that was mixed in the sauce, causing it to loose the original taste. Please improve it because I really love Vietnamese food would love to come back again. : Thanks.
Best pho in town! I'm a big fan of the lemon grass lamb pho. All the other food I've tried here is good too, but I almost always order the pho. The space is a bit drab but that's of no concern really.
Excellent Vietnamese cuisine. The soup is rich and pho smooth. Spring roll is crispy and roast meat is tender. Reasonably large serving and reasonable prices. S
They cook the best potato chips ever.
It’s beautiful to have a Noodle combinationNo.32 in a chilly rainy day. Quick served and friendly staff. We came to the right place and appreciate it! The No.20, not sure what’s the name… is yummy, too! Highly recommend!
