Been going there for many years and it's a good cheap meal. Not sure if the cashier dislikes me personally but no matter what I say she'll always find a way to question what I tell her what I've bought, whether it's the price, meal type, reached the l point where I won't be going back as its annoying and comes across as pretty rude.
One of the best value, quick lunch spots in town. $7-$9 for a warm noodles with salad, meat, and your choice of sauces. I appreciate the use of biodegradable take away bowls. Only critique is maybe a little light with the meat servings.
It was a really good value lunch 2 years ago. But the owner may become too greedy now. The $6 salad noodle now become a pretty much 'NO SALAD' or maybe one bite salad noodle for $6.5. Will never recommend this place anymore.
The one on Courtney place, excellent. Great staff, well bar one who works Saturdays she is rough around the edges, makes calls during meal prep and is rude she charges you for nuts but gives free nuts to handsome caucasian men. Fresh food, great place to eat, affordable. Healthy, convenient and a lunch time fav. 5 stars!
Have been going to the store in Porirua - Sam owner and his wife are awesome and practically know my order off by heart upon entry even if I don't frequent there in a couple of weeks... great value for money! $7 for a base salad + noodles + protein with choice of home made sauces. Particularly love the ginger spring onion + lime chilli combination. Definitely my cost-effective 'go to'!
The blonde girl at the Willis St food court leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to customer service. Very rude and poor customer skills. Gave me the wrong order, when I politely advised that was not what I ordered it was corrected by another staff member. When she thought I was out of ear shot started mocking me to the other staff insisting I had order what she had given me. I'm pretty sure I knew what I ordered ..... If she wasn't so busy chatting to the guy next to her instead of doing her job properly serving customers she would have gotten the order right in the first place.
Disappointed !!! Pre made bowls of salad so you don't know what's in there. Rocket leaves are wilted by the time they are served. I enjoyed the crunchy peanuts, bit disapppointed not to get them. Staff are busy wanting to attend to next customer that walks in, that they don't want to check what the customer they are currently serving wants. No offer of fork and tissue too.
A good cheap bulk noodle takeaway joint, nothing more nothing less, Don't expect more than that and you'll be ok. You get a big bowl of noodles, a bit of lettuce and some beans, a ladle of sauce for $6-$10 - cheap and filling and tastes ok. Chefs? Doubt it. Choose health? No, just an empty advertising slogan.
Robotic, conveyor-belt service. I've had peanuts added to my order on three separate occasions despite requesting to not have them due to an allergy and had to throw my order away. When you want to make a complaint there's no manager available, no email address available and they won't answer the phone. Great for cheap sheep. Not great for people with nut allergies.
I don't even think that the one star is appropriate for the service that I received at the Willis Foodcourt today. I always go to chefs palate and have never had a major problem with the service, however this time I was utterly shocked. The young blonde girl and a young guy were intolerable. To start with, the young guy was sitting on the counter slouched over on his elbows, they were in the middle of a full on private conversation with the young girl swearing profusely at every chance she got. They didn't acknowledge me whatsoever and didn't even look up from their conversation. I was so shocked by this that I had to complain to the manager, something I have never had to do before. The manager seemed unfazed and had to ask me what they had done wrong she was there while the whole thing unfolded and they had obviously been acting that way for a while she said she was sorry, but didn't seem to have much of an issue with it. Definitely won't be returning to this branch again.
