Amberjacks is a family upmarket fish and chip shop on West Australia's premier beach, Cottesloe.We're open 7 days a week in summer, closing at 8:15pm.

Story

Amberjacks is a family run fish and chip shop located in the heart of Cotttesloe where consumers eating in the restaurant have fantastic views of the beach.
We only source our fish from Australian and New Zealand waters. We have the highest quality West Australian Spanish Mackerel, West Australian Red Spot Emperor, Sharkbay Whiting Fish, New Zealand Hake, New Zealand Orange Roughy cut in-house daily. We use premium oil, filtered daily giving fish its trademark taste and colouring. In addition to fish, we also sell homemade Greek and garden salad as well as our signature coleslaw salad. Over the weekends, we make homemade sushi, also made by our hardworking staff. Come visit us today.

Got the fish and chips, some pros and cons. Pros: tasted pretty good for a day at the beach, fairly close to the water and the tar tar sauce is a must have with the fish and chips. Cons: not enough seats inside or outside the restaurant, tar tar sauce costs extra, a bit expensive and the chips to fish ratio is off. You get 2 fried fishes and way too many chips.

Went to order the tropical food pack and requested for the hake fish to be crumbed, which is an option on the menu, but they wouldn't do it. I am aware it's $1 extra if you order the hake, so I explained in happy to pay $2 extra, still wouldn't do it. So I walked. Useless, won't even cook or offer what the customer wants.

Only fish and chips I am aware of in the world that does not include tartar sauce. Spent over $4 on tartar sauce and ketchup. Food mediocre. Increase price if necessary to include free condiments. Makes people feel like they are being ripped off. What's next? Charging for napkins? Sad. Short sighted.

Terrific fish and chips, the tropical pack for two people is recommended. Eat your meal opposite and watch the sunset over the ocean

The fries are good. Not oily and in big portion. But could have seen a bigger piece of fish though.
