Excellent service, generous portions, reasonable prices. The food was very good! I had the paella can't go wrong with fresh NZ seafood and it was one the best I've eaten. My wife had the lamb shank again can't go wrong with NZ lamb and it was melt in your mouth and the gravy was amazing. Highly recommended.
We had booked ahead for 4 diners as we had heard that it can get busy here. The decor looked nice and inviting. Being a Saturday is was fairly busy. For Entree's we shared the Chicken and ham croquettes in bechamel sauce and Pizza Bread, garlic butter or pesto in the base, cherry tomatoes and kalamata olives fresh basil and parmesan. Mains was Seafood Paella,rice dish with fresh fish, squid, mussels, prawns, and clams, Meat paella with pork, corn fed chicken, pinto beans,chick peas, green beans and green capsicums, Lamb shanks slowly cooked with oranges in red wine gravy, and finally Scotch fillet with honey, Pedro Ximenez reduction and potato cake. Fellow diners also managed to squeeze in Churros, Spanish doughnuts sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar, served with a thick hot chocolate , Crema Catalana, classic spanish burnt custard cream. Overall we all enjoyed our food, it's was hot and fair size portions, in fact I have part two of mine for lunch tomorrow. There were no major complaints from fellow diners, but they were disappointed by the portion size of the Crema Catalana, classic spanish burnt custard cream. One of the diners was also disappointed with their apple flavoured cocktail, again the portion size was conservative. Unfortunately, we were not greatly impressed with the level of service we received. We had to ask for clean cutlery after the Entree as the used ones was just put on the napkin requiring a clean napkin as well. The waitress took our drinks order and then a short time came back and asked if we need more drinks. Overall, would we go back again?, yes we would as the food was good and tasty.
First visit. Friendly waitress. Both ordered steak and couldn't finish it as tasted off. Even Waitress admitted front of house staff noticed steak smelt unusual. Complimentary desert offered but didn't suit as did not have time before movie. Full price charged. Won't be back. Disappointing.
Have been here three times so far, two of those times the food and service were awesome, and once the service was bad and not all menu items available. Would recommend, based on the two great experiences. A fun place to eat if you enjoy tapas style sharing plates. Lots of dairy-free, gluten free options.
Very poor service tonight. We were not served and our orders were not even taken until over half an hour we were sitting there. In fact the waitresses seemed to avoid our table possibly as they are racist, as other white tables who came after as were served food before us. We eventually left as it was over an hour and a half and we still werent served. The waitress was also rude and stressed when taking our order as it was apparently very busy. The tables were also very dirty and very unsanitary in general.
Fantastic night , amazing food, the 2 front of house waiters did a great job considering they had been let down by other staff members not turning in for work. Will definitely be going back. Alfonso, "Thank you " we had one of the best nights out. Fabulous
Went here for my birthday dinner back on the 4th of August. Entree was disappointing, Scotch fillet was a mangled schnitzel, and the rest of the meal was not seasoned and enedible. Hubby got the baked custard we were told it was like a Creme brûlée ... It was flavourless watery custard with sugar on top that hadn't being melted properly. Addressed the staff about all of this at the time and although they were apologetic they still charged for the uneaten meal. We were told they would call us as the chef had already gone home 830pm on a Thursday night still had no call but judging by the other reviews this seems quite common. Very disappointing. Will not go back and will not recommend.
Staff absolutely lovely, atmosphere great. Food completely inedible, wouldn't feed it to an animal. $95 wasted. Restaurant has made no effort to respond to private complaint so unfortunately have to express my disgust publicly.
Surprised about recent reviews, couldn't fault the meals or service in any way. We waited for a table didn't book at the bar and the staff member was onto it and friendly. Fish of the day was perfect.
Made a booking, confirmed time, got there and the never wrote it down, eventually gave us a crappy table next to the toilets. We declined and left. Very unprofessional.
